Update on my DS

Just a quick update on my 9.5 month old DS ...

I posted a month or so ago about my DS still hating tummy time. Well in the past week or so he decided that being on his tummy isn't so bad after all. He started crawling yesterday! I had so many people asking me why he wasn't crawling and saying that he wouldn't be good at math or reading if he didn't crawl. My DH was praying every night that he would start to crawl. I was starting to get annoyed with everyone, and decided he would crawl if and when he was ready (thanks to reassurance from all of you). Now I'm going to have 2 babies to chase after!

 

:banana: Yay!!!! I think they crawl when they are ready....there are plenty of babies that skip crawling all together when people ask that rude question again!

 

:clapping: Great news! I know that was a major stressor for me too! The boys didn't crawl until 10 months so you've got early ones there!

 

That is great! And ugh about people saying he wouldn't be good at reading or math if he didn't crawl!

 

Yay for your new crawler!! Babies will certainly crawl when *they* are ready, not necessarily when *we're* ready. It's tough, though, when you have another baby to compare to. Jack crawled early, so I was left for several months wondering what was wrong with Nate....which was absolutely nothing! He crawled when he felt like it. :laughing:

Wow, I hadn't heard that one before! That's just weird. Anyway, :woo: for a crawling baby! Babies do everything in their own time!

Congrats! That is awesome - and that fact about math/reading is ridiculous - I had to read it twice...I must not have been a crawler...heh heh. Congrats again. :clapping:

 

Yay for crawling. I can't believe that stupid comment about not being good or reading. My oldest brother never crawled went straight walking at 9months. Graduated at the top of his class and works for a fortune 500 company as a senior manager.
