Update on Ben and Charlie

Hey guys.
We went to see our little angels today. They both have been getting stronger and stronger everyday. So they both were on ventilators for a couple of days due to seperate lung infections. But they both cleared and they both are officially off the ventilators! They both have the nasal canula and our little boy ben is at 4 liters and slowly coming down. He is having a hard time digesting the mini feedings they are starting, but they are trying everything they can to get him to eat. other than that his oxygen is at 25 and he is looking really good. His sister Charlie, is at 1 liter and they are optimistic that she will be off the canula by the end of the day!!!! breathing on her own and little miss piggy just started feedings yesterday at 5cc, and she is already DEMANDING 30cc!!!! so she is definitely doing well. She is a trooper. My husband and i got to hold our little ones today for the first time. Made it that much harder to leave them there. But with prayer and a little bit of faith they will both be home sooner than any of us can imagine!!! and let me tell you, i really dont think i have ever wanted something more in my lifetime!!!! This is a situation that really puts a lot of things in perspective. really makes, well at least some, understand what is really trully important. I love my babies more then my own life and they truly are our angels! Can't wait to hold them again!!!!

I'm so happy you got to hold your little ones! Don't forget to take pics/videos. We were kind of shell shocked when they were in the NICU, and regretted not taking more photos.

NICU time is no fun. Glad they are doing well and hope they come home soon.
