Everything went fine with the surgeries on Thursday and with the way she's acting you wouldn't even know she had sugery! We really thought the hernia repair was going to bother her, but she's running around acting like she normally does. The only time she even is aware of it is when we try to lift up her shirt to look at it or change her clothes, then she cries and says "no no no" to us. But I've gotten several peeks at it and it looks like an "almost normal" belly button!!! Its so weird to see that. As far as the eyes, they are really bloody towards the insides, but she hasn't had any bruising of the eyelids or anything else. And she's seeing fine. We'll wait for our follow up appts to see how her eyes are working together now, its hard to tell right now.

Thanks for all your good thoughts and prayers!

I'm happy to hear that her surgeries went well and that she is recovering nicely.

BTW - How was Brooke's first day of school?

BTW - How was Brooke's first day of school?

We were all for sending Brooke after the responses I got here and thinking more about it, but my sil sends her 4yr old to the same preschool and on Wednesday she told us that after 2 days she had strep. So we decided on Wednesday that we would not send her just in case, we didn't want to deal with 2 sick kids in one weekend. As it turns out she really missed her sister on Thursday. She was walking around the house calling her name. When we got home from the hospital, surpringly she could have cared less about me being home and she went to give Natalie a kiss and Natalie swatted her away  On Friday morning Brooke woke up crying and when she heard Natalie talking she quieted down (we had taken Natalie out of bed on Thursday to be at the hospital at 5:30am). I felt really bad for Brooke today because I had to bring Natalie for a follow up dr appt for her eyes. Brooke was still in her pjs and Natalie was dressed and Brooke was freaking out because we were heading downstairs getting ready to leave and she wasn't dressed yet. My sister stayed with her and said she was fine after a couple of minutes. So looking back I'm sort of happy we used the "we don't want to have sickness in the house just yet excuse," because I think she would have been really upset. We'll see how our first day goes next week!
