Hello ladies, first off I want to thank you for all the well wishes and positive thoughts. Its been a roller coster ride the last two days. :grouphug: :grouphug:

When I got to the DR office, they took me back to check the level of swelling, my thighs had begun to wheep they where so swollen. They hooked my up and took my BP it was 158/107   ... My nurse double checked my cuff, and took it again 148/101. She heads out to find my doctor. Given my past with pre-e, she sent me straight up to L&D. I was seriously freaking out, hubby and I get up there and they hook me up for NST's and They start taking my BP every 15 min. The Resident informs me, I will be staying *at least* 12 hours, to do a urine catch and if that came back positive for protien I would be delievering the girls with in days. At this point I was IN TOTAL SHOCK~

After IV's, Extra tests, steriod shots (just in case) and 12 hour urine catch, Im back home. I showed NO protien in my urine. And they scheduled me for a follow up next week, to check on everything again, uncluding a take home 24 hour catch. Im a little scared, I feel great knowing the girls get to cook a little longer. We did get a ultrasound, while I was there: Baby A is head down and estimated in at 3lb15oz and Baby B is head down and estimated at 4lbs.

I dont know what to make of the hospital, Im showing ALL signs except protien and they sent me home. Nothing for the swelling, just told me to put my legs up and drink lots of water... and get this: THE TOLD ME I CAN KEEP WORKING?! Im just hoping everything turns out ok. Thank you all again soooo much for the positive vibes, we really needed them! YOU ALL ARE AMAZING! :grouphug:

Im no dr, but really, might I suggest you stop working? For goodness sake, the pain you must be in and then to walk around all day and sit a desk? You have done awsome so far, give yourself a pat on the back and stay home! That's just my 2 pennies on that one.

Wow, what a roller coaster is right. Are you OK? My head would be spinning. It's great though that they can cook for a bit longer. Your doing such a good job, keep it up.

    Thanks for the update!

I experienced a similar weight gain with my boys around 32 weeks, too! I retained everything due to my pre-e. It's a hard thing for your body to go through...try and take it easy. Many hugs!

I would RUN to another hospital...my BP was no where near what yours was, my swelling was no where near yours and my weight gain was no where near yours and I was delivered at 36w even...I was taken out of work and told under no circumstances was I to do ANYTHING that weekend!

Whoa, my bp was 157/107 and that was enough to get me admitted! Take care of yourself and keep an eye on your signs. I'm so excited for you to have those girls, but not until they're ready!

Glad you're not going back to work!

Please take it easy. Now is the time to call in all the reinforcements you have and let them handle everything. I watched Smallville on my bedrest. 7 seasons. Find something you enjoy and just use your arm muscles to press play!

Just think of it as pre sleep. Becuase when those girls get here you won't have much sleep.

Yowzers, I can't believe they let you go home without orders to stop working. That's just crazy talk. Put your feet up and relax. Give those babies a few more days to cook and like the pp above said, call in all the help you can right now. You need to take it easy.

    You're doing great mama!!

Glad to hear everyone is doing okay, but take it easy, Mama. Make sure those babies and you, of course, get all the rest you need :). We're all pushing for you!

Did they give you instructions for what blood pressures to go in? Those seem rather high for them to just give you an appointment for the next week...

I would definitely stop working if you can. That just seems crazy to me! You will feel much better if you can spend most of your time horizontal.

For me, protein was the last thing to show up . One week it was within normal, less than a week and it wasn't. I am surprised they are letting you go a whole week. Of course, you could have just bad swelling and hypertension without pre-e.... but the hypertension should be followed up on!

Please keep us informed, I hope you do get to go into the hospital, it may be able to help you cook your girls longer.

Yeah, they said anything over the 135/90 mark was too high, I havent reached it yet tonight. I decided work is no longer an option. I keep thinking all they are waiting on is the protien and then they will take the girls. I really expected to be put into the hospital for some extra monitoring, but nothing. Hubby is with me and thinks its because I have no protien and its only a matter of time. I would feel better being in the hospital, but we will have to see!

WOW! I can't believe all this. Especially the working part. I'm glad you're not working. Keep resting lots and I'd call them again if you feel like you need to. A whole week to another appointment seems kind of crazy. Take it easy

Maybe have DH pee in your take-home test? Then they'll be truly confused and admit you immediately! :D Only kidding, but I understand your sentiment. As much as this hospital bed rest is NOT Disneyworld, I feel that my girls are so much safer here.

Keep us posted...I can't wait to see pics of those little girls!

That's part of what prompted my doctor to go ahead and induce. I bet if you were further along, they would to you too.
Hang in there a few more weeks and it will be GO TIME!

I keep thinking that is the ONLY thing stopping them... If I was a few weeks ahead, I would have babies!

THank you all again for your support, I will keep you posted, as for now... Im just chillen till next week!

Rest Rest Rest! I'm not sure when the protein showed up for me but I was admitted after 2 weeks of severe swelling. I was 34w. I convinced them to monitor me in the hospital for as long as it was safe to give the girls more time to grow. I made it another 6 days but those 6 days mattered. When the liver enzymes and platelets went nuts, I was done and induced.

I had no idea how sick I was until after the birth and I felt SOOOO much better. Hang in there. Don't hesitate to call your DR if even the slightest thing seems out of the normal.
