Update from 37 week appt today...

Hi girls...STILL here...

So...appt...I'm still measuring 44 weeks, which is what I measured 2 appts ago (around Feb. 7th). I'm STILL 2 cm dilated, so no change...cervix is still soft. OB started to say we'd discuss induction at the next appt next Monday & I said "but you said we'd discuss that today." DH said I said it kinda irritated-like, but I didn't think I did. He said I sounded like my dad...LOL! Anyway, after I said that the OB was all like "well, I'll call the higher ups & see what they will let me do...maybe somewhere around March 1st or something Do you all know how far March 1st seems from now for me right now? Anyway, then he sent us to the hospital for our NST. Took an hour & I had to drink soda to wake the girls up & get them moving. It was, however, showing that I was having contractions pretty much every 4 minutes. I felt some, but not others. THey said come back if they get more intense & are 5 minutes apart. So, anyway, I'm frustrated. Oh well. Like I said though...my next appt is Monday. I'm hoping my water breaks before then or something.

I know this is so NOT what you want to hear right now...but if you keep counting the days with the intensity you currently are---it's going to feel like a million years before you have those babies! If you keep yourself busy, make plans, don't think about it...I bet you'll be in labor in no time. It's murphy's law. Now go distract yourself!!

Sorry if I'm bothering you Reyna.

I am keeping busy by still working & taking care of our 3 year old dd. Just anxious.

 

I can understand your impatience...I am only 23 weeks and sure wish it was almost over, I am going to be really impatient at 35 weeks. You have come a long way, and you should be proud of yourself and the babies for staying this long, another week and I bet that we will be reading your birth story...Hang in there girl!

I remember those last weeks and they were horrible! People use to say, " your so close, I'm sure time will fly"... well, It didn't fly fast enough for me thats for sure! Hang in there, it's almost over!

I remember at each peri appointment he would tell me that at the next one we would discuss coming off the contraction meds. The next week would come and again he would say, next week we will talk about the meds. It was frustrating but it was also exciting to know that I had made it another week (at 29 weeks they had the whole team ready for delivery)! I know it does seem like far away but try to sit back and enjoy the last kicks, hiccups etc. I really missed that part of being pregnant once I delivered.

Keep up the great work! You will be holding your previous bundles real soon!!
