The kiddos are down for a nap (with diapers...we are tackling the sleep-time training after we get awake-time training under our belts) and DH and I are exhausted, yet pleasantly surprised! Between both kiddos, we probably visited the potty over 40 times in 5 hours. They tried to go 5 times just during lunch  . For now, we are letting them go in the bathroom as often as they want as we know the enthusiasm is likely a short phase. And blue M&Ms are the favorite reward right now :)

The official count for the morning:

DS: 8 pees, 0 poos and NO ACCIDENTS! He has kept on the same pair of Thomas underwear all morning.
DD: 3 accidents in a row, followed by 7 pees without any accidents and 0 poops

The hardest part has been keeping them entertained in the kitchen. It was a LONG morning until we settled down to read books for over an hour. And I keep telling DH that the frequency of pees will not continue...he keeps insisting that diapers must be easier than dealing with this chaos :) I would love to hear words of wisdom about what your life looks like after they are potty-trained.

Good luck!!!! I see this happening in our future! I am looking forward to them being trained but not the process...having been through it twice before. My oldest daughter took forever and my middle was a piece of cake..she basically trained herself...but it's still a process (one less thing I, the mommy, will have control over!) Training two at the same time is going to crazy! Mine will be 2 at the end of Jan...so I'm going to hold off for a while! They got a potty for Christmas and I found them running around the living room naked 4 times yesterday! That was enough to make me say, "I"M NOT READY!!"

Sounds good so far!!! Love the update!!
We're starting Thursday, this is our second attempt and the first time they were just not ready but this time I'm hoping they are. If not, well then we'll wait another month :)

Sounds exhausting, but also it does sound like you are off to a good start. And boy -- you are doing so well with the patience. Hooray for you (so far)! :clapping:

Sounds great!! My girls pee about 4-5x/day now but we were like you in the beginning with a million bathroom visits. The novelty does wear off and they won't tell you they need to go so often. Can't wait for more updates!!!!!!!!

My girls only pee about three times a day, so the frequency certainly does decrease. Hang in there!

(oh - and if you think your kids are witholding poo... try feeding them dried apricots or prunes as a treat. It will make it less easy for them to hold out)
