ok my skinny minny kids aren't potty trained yet but I have a question...DD is 27 months and is just now fitting into 18 month bottoms (in fact they're still big but they at least don't fall off anymore)...does anyone know of a brand or website that sells tiny little panties/underwear...

2T is just going to fall to her ankles the minute I put it on...DS may be a little better but he has more butt than she does :D

Good question! I'm hoping someone has some good ideas about where to find smaller sizes. DS is skinny too. He's two and all his shorts are 12 months. I'm not sure what I'm going to do when he needs pants (because 12 months will be way too short). Anyway, I'm curious to see if anyone has suggestions. DS is just starting to potty train, but he'll need underwear soon enough.

My almost 3 year old is starting to potty train and we have to roll thee elastic band on the 2Ts to get them to fit he only weighs about 26lbs. The pull ups fit ok but Im not sure what to do about the underwear maybe just put a stich in the elstic band that can be let out latter.

Walmart has Sesame street underwear that fits my skinny one pretty well. When we started she only weighed ~ 23 lbs, and I picked those because the lowest weight on the size chart seemed to be smaller than some other brands. Also some Hane's Disney princess panties fit her pretty well (they probably have a corresponding design for boys). Avoid the Faded Glory underwear though, they are way to big for her tiny little butt and bubble around her like bloomers.

Gerber makes training underpants in 18M.

Also, there are quite a few brands that shrink like crazy after a couple of washes and trips through a hot dryer. I have some Thomas size 2-3 from Wal-Mart that fit my skinnies just great. A lot of brands shrunk enough to stay up but are baggy in the legs so I prefer the boxer briefs since the loose legs matter less in those.

Amy, I was using Hanes underwear from Target for Emilie. They have a small size, 20-27 lbs and they fit her fine. She is about 23.5 lbs. I found them in where they clothes are for kids. Not with the big kid underwear.

thanks girls!!! I was envisioning having to have my mom find a pattern and actually sew the panties - not a pretty visual

I agree w/ PP the Sesame Street (Kohls) and Princess (Target/Hanes) are small- they were our 1st panties in 2T ( at 24 &26 lbs)....we've outgrown them at 28& 30lbs. though in other brands we are still 2 T, in those we do 3t..... Though they need to be 'loose' to be easy to pull up/down!
