Hi friends. I need a suggestion. Due to increased hormones during pregnancy, I have acne on my face. While most of them are small and easily concealed with makeup, one is quite large and red. I find that no matter how much cover up I use on this one area, the acne is still visible, and it's making me very self-conscious. I’m considering an acne laser treatment in Toronto. My dermatologist told me that while there isn't much I can do during pregnancy to prevent or heal these acne. After my pregnancy I can have laser treatment done. But I'd prefer to get the laser treatment done sooner than later, and I was wondering if it is safe for me to get this treatment done while I am pregnant. Any scientific reasons behind it?

My first guess is that it's probably not safe to do while pregnant, but I would discuss it with your doctor.

I dealt with acne prior to pregnancy, during it and still deal with afterwards. My doctor had recommended that I stop my acne medicine while pregnant.
