About 10 mintues ago Gracie just flipped her lid. I changed her diaper thinking it was her rash hurting her and she was poopy, but she is still screaming and slamming her head on the floor. She won't let me hold her. Haley is out like a light on the floor next to her totally oblivious to what is going on. I thought myabe she was hungry, but she won't calm down enough to even try to feed her.

What shoudl I try now? How long should I let it go on before I worry?

Well, we seem to be a little calmer now. She will atleast let me hold her. IF you guys have any suggestions for next time I would really appreciate it.

I know it is a bad thing to do, but putting on a tivo'd episode of Yo, Gabba Gabba works for me... :FIFblush:

I know sometimes for my two, they just get so worked up sometimes that they need to let off steam and crying is what they seem to do. It does not happen often, thank goodness. My two love to dance so we have found if we put on music and distract them it gets their mind off of it and they change gears. Glad she is calmed down.

What was she doing before she lost it? I think one of my 1st thoughts would be to make sure she didn't get bit by a bug or something (we have lots of spiders) or nothing is pinching in the clothes, etc. Usually when I can't find any obvious reasons why they're crying it's b/c they're overtired or teething. DS got kinda like that last night, but we'd also had shots that day plus teething.

I finally got him to calm down by sitting on the floor in the nursery with the CD player beside me with his favorite cd playing & me singing along and rocking him. He likes to hear me sing.

I don't know about your kids but with my two it almost always works if I just pick them up & take them outside for a few minutes. Something about the change in the air maybe, I don't know, but they usually stop screaming the minute I walk out the door!

I'm glad she's calmed down for you now, that can be very nerve-racking!
