just wondering if anyone who has passed 19wks remembers being uncomfortable? i am pregnant for the 1st time so i do not know how it feels to be pregnant let alone pregnant with twins! i was feeling really good and then all of a sudden from 18 to 19wksl; my back hurts (just in the afternoons after being at work all day), laying down has become uncomfortable, turning over in bed has become harder, pressure/tightness, and walking seems different!! is it about that time to start feeling this, little eary, anything to be worried about with the pressure or is it just those muscles expanding??? had u/s at 17w4d, baby a weighed 7oz and baby b weighed 8 oz! thanks ahead for your thoughts!

Oh I am not looking forward to then either. Im only 8 weeks and already uncomfortable. I can't get comfortable, restless, my legs don't ever want to stop moving, and half the time it feels like my stomach is physically ripping apart. :(

I totally know what you are saying. It has become more and more impossible to get a decent night sleep. I have begun propping myself with pillows trying to accomodate for my growing belly. I have popped again over the last couple of weeks and there are times when I can't hardly move. Walking is difficult and I have basically given up on bending down to let the dog out, except for when I have to. My children are now having to feed the dog and take care of outside time. I take a shower in the morning and most of the time after I get dressed, I lay down and feel like I am ready to go back to bed. It is all part of being pg. In other ways, I feel fine and full of energy, but it comes in spurts and doesn't last long. My children have found out that when mom is getting tired, she starts to get really b****y. They are ready for me to go lay down and take a nap at that point! LOL! It's all part of the glorious effects of pg, and you will forget about most of it once the twins are born. I have always enjoyed being pg, and this time is really no different. Yes, I am tired and uncomfortable, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world when I start feeling my little ones moving and kicking inside me. It is such a beautiful feeling and such a bonding moment that is mine alone. I can share them moving when I want to and keep it to myself when I want. That is so specail. It's my time to not have to share my babies with anyone! I hope you will find this as special as I do. When you get tired, lay down, close your eyes and picture those sweet little bundles in your mind. It really helps to relax and regenerate yourself. Congrats on your little ones and your first pg. Enjoy! It goes quickly. Have you felt them kick or move yet? If not, it will happen any time now. :hug99:

I am 27 weeks now and have been very uncomfortable since about 23 weeks. I was not like this with my singleton pregnancy, I am convinced that twin pregnancy is a completely different ball game. I know it is all worth the aches and pains, but each week seems to bring on a new discomfort. Hang in there.

Things change, I found. Once you get used to one pain/discomfort it magically goes away and there is something different in it's place.

Yes, I have had all of this and it continues along with new things. Pregnancy is full of discomfort and then add twins on top of it, not only do you have baby weight and size but the placenta(s) and the fluid. If the pressure worries you you should ask your dr. I asked mine and since I have had previous pregnancies he said it was normal. Hang in there it will all be worth it in the end.

I believe I didn't start feeling really uncomfortable until the 3rd trimester (however, I did have really bad morning sickness the entire pregnancy). When it became uncomfortable sleeping at night I bought this Snoogle and it really helped. I was finally able to lay down comfortably and you can contort it into many different positions to fit your needs.

I was around 19-21 weeks when I got real uncomfortable. I also bought a Snoogle from babies r us. it was a lifesaver. I am 25 weeks now and I don't have lots of discomfort right now. I would highly recomenned buying one.

I just hit 22 weeks and I have been pretty uncomfortable for about 2 weeks now. I get pains in my belly, pains in my back and I am exhausted after just a few hours at work! I hate to think what I will feel like in another couple months!!!!!!!!

I think I feel the same as you. My belly feels so tight and my back is arching out to accommodate it. I've had 9 pound single babies before and this is a regular feeling only not so early! Mine were similar weights at 17 weeks, about 7 ounces. I thought CRAP this is only a pound of baby!!!! What am I going to do when they get bigger??? I think as they get bigger they drop lower and that makes it a little more comfy tightness wise. I'm already waddling and yesterday I peed when I sneezed. Soooo glamorous.

I've had one pregnancy before. I don't remember being uncomfortable until later during that pregnancy. I had a lot of pain in my lower back by 12 weeks with the twins. It did subside by 18 weeks though. Now, at 20 weeks, I have pain under my pubic bone & in my lower abdomen. I'm sure it varies with each pregnancy. I think sleeping on my side helped with the back pain, but I could be wrong!!

Oh honey, all the pregnancy pains are now starting  My back has been hurting me since 15 weeks. Now at
23 weeks, it's hurting all the time! So annoying.... And pressure,YES, it starts getting more intense. Be careful,
beause with my first, I did not feel any of this. With twins, your obviously carrying more weight. At 19 weeks,
I got the news that my cervix started thinning, I'm on bed rest right now. I can get up to do the basics and
take my daughter to pre-school, but that's about it. Good-luck! I get pregnancy massages sometimes and it
still doesn't help, but feels good for the moment :).

i'm 16 weeks and have been uncomfortable the whole time. actually right now my stomach feels great but i've gotten some really bad leg and groin pain that is making it nearly impossible to walk. i'm sleeping better as a result of a body pillow (i have a $10 one but i have to say that snoogle that has been recommended here looks awesome! free shipping on amazon i think) and i just ordered a prenatal cradle which should help support my back and stomach and help with my posture. if you are at work you probably really need something like that. was i like this with my singleton pregnancies? well, with my first i was able to walk miles a day, run to and from work, ride the subway etc... With my second i should've been wearing a brace and refused and did have trouble walking but not this early on as a result of carrying super low. I constantly felt like my daughter was falling out. This time around I'm super moody, super tired and completely achy. I guess each pregnancy is different. You just have to deal with things as they come up and hope you don't end up on bedrest. good luck!
