We are wanting to buy a lightweight stroller now that the girls are out of their carriers. I think a side by side would be the best for us, but am worried about the width. Can anyone suggest a good umbrella type stroller that has some type of storage?

we actually got 2 separate umbrella strollers and they behave much better! It works when DH and I or my mom and I are together but if I'm alone then I use the Duoglider....

but anyway I got 2 Chicco Capri strollers - they are a bit more expensive than your standard umbrella stroller ($60 each but I hit a sale and coupons from BRU) but they are very sturdy, they recline by unzipping the seat back, have a 5 pt harness and are only 5 lbs each they are so light!!! Plus they have canopies on them and are very easy to steer....

I have a MacLaren Twin Rally. I really like it. It'very durable and has baskets (not too big). We've used it for airline travel twice and it has been doing well. I bought it on Albeebaby.com for around $200, no tax, free shipping.

Before I got the duoglider, we had 2 seperate umbrella strollers. I liked them, they were EASY to manuver.

We have the Duoglider, a double jogging stroller & a double umbrella stroller (I believe it's Kolcraft). The double umbrella stroller is by far, the easiest to maneuver and the girls seem to prefer it already.

We just got a Jeep double umbrella stroller and LOVE it. We also loved the price. It was only $80. Very lightweight and easy to fold up. B)

I have to second the Jeep double side by side BUT it doesn't have any storage except for 2 smallish bags on each side of the seat (Jeep Wrangler Twin Sport is the one I have, not sure if there are others?) I found it to be alot smaller widthwise then other's like the Maclaren etc. Also price was a huge factor for us. We already have the snap no go and the duoglider.

No problem with going through standard size doors. The sun shade doesn't have the best coverage but i just bought a larger sun shade to fit over it. Very easy to fold up. I got mine for $119 at BRU but I'm in Canada :)

Diane--where did you find the larger sunshade? I liked the width of the Jeep on a lot, but thought the sunshade was kind of small, and right now the girls are like vampires, one bit of sun on their faces and they hiss!

I have both the MacLaren Rally Twin & the Jeep sbs (a gift). I like them both but I definitely prefer the MacLaren. The MacLaren is a bit more narrow, has higher handles, & is easier to maneuver. I believe the MacLaren is a little lighter, too, but I'm not positive. It also has higher weight limits for the seats, which is imp. for me since I have a 3yo who is almost 40 pounds. For the price the Jeep is nice, though.

We just purchased the Jeep Side by Side it was $119 at Toys R Us and the sunshades are very small so we are lucky we also have one we can attach to the handles that we got at TJ Kids. It helps out a lot to keep the sun off of them
