Do they sell a double umbrella stroller? If not can you recommend a good inexpensive single one. My double stroller is sooooo heavy.....looking for something more light weight.

Yes there are many~ a good inexp one is the jeep double umbrella for about $70? it does the job with no bells and whistles though like no baskets, cup holders, trays, just a basic double side by side stroller. But it does recline some and has canopies and folds easily! I had and it worked well. I know there are some other cheapers ones out there but i dont know how well they hold up and if you get what you pay for. I thi;nk kolcraft has one as well. HTH

My grandmother got me the Kohlcraft one, per my request... I think it was around $100, but I can't remember. The thing I liked about it was that it had the canopies to flip over...and the little storage pouches for throwing things in... It's much more lightweight than my duo-glider. And I think it was one of the only ones I could find that had both the canopies and very compact for folding up. Obviously not as lightweight as a single umbrella...and you can probably find a double umbrella without the canopy that would be more lightweight...

I never did get one, but they do have connectors for two single umbrella storllers. I've heard good and bad things about them. I think you can get them at BRU... Which reminds me I still want to go get them and try them out on our umbrella strollers. :D

I have the Kolcraft which I got at a closeout store for about $30.00. It has worked out great for us. I think it's about 20 pounds, so its lightweight and very compact.

Don't buy the single umbrella stroller connector if you just plan to use it for quick solution like in an airport. It doesn't balance two strollers smoothly so you always go left and right, very hard to manuver. But if you just need it for a temporary solution like running in the airport, get it.

I actually have the connectors for my strollers. I got the singles because we were going to Disney and I didnt want to worry about putting my Double PP Aria on the plane then having something happen to it...I paid 200 for that, and its VERY light weight, but expensive...its also narrow enough to get through all doorways. I actually dont mind the connectors...they are a little hard to steer yes, but Id rather take them with me now that they are getting so big.

My boys dont like sitting in standard strollers anymore...but they will sit in the umbrellas. I think they feel more in control.

I heard Great things about the jeep one too...I have thier tandem. Its heavy but I liked it when they were smaller. (Like 6 months to 1.5)

Good luck finding something..I would also try ebay. ;) I got my PP aria 100 less on there, and it was so slightly used it looked like new.

the cons for the stroller connectors are they are too wide to fit thru doorways. that was a big downfall for me.

And the canpies on the kolfraft double umbrella kept flipping up and around at me when itw as just a little windy. On the jeep double and others the canopes can clip down and stay down.

    HTH :)

I recently purchased 2 Chicco Capri strollers - they are much easier when I'm with someone else and my kids seem to behave better when they are in separate strollers...

I really like them because they are lightweight (only 11 lbs each) and come with a shoulder strap and storage bag...
they are a bit more pricey ($59.99 each) than a traditional umbrella stroller but they are very sturdy and hopefully will last them until they are 3
