DH and I travel quite a bit and we have a smaller car. The older the girls get the more stuff we need to bring or so it seems. We can't fit our SBS in the truck with our luggage and all the baby stuff anymore so we were thinking about purchasing two umbrella strollers since they are so compact. By the time we hit the road again the girls will be 5.5 months. Do you think it would be safe for them to sit in these? They can sit up assisted and they sit up in the SBS now pretty straight and don't flop over. Let me know what you gals think.

    TIA

I would think so since they're sitting up on their own.

we did the same and now often prefer to use the single umbrellas. i think 5 mos is fine. they'll let you know if they are uncomfortable.

    We got this stroller

    graco twin sbs umbrella stroller

about a month ago. All I can say is I LOVE IT. We used to use the Duoglider, but it was too bulky and heavy for me to get out of our trunk. Plus it took up so much room.

This stroller folds up so compactly, almost like two single umbrella strollers, that we were amazed. I have a trunk again in my car. Plus we have found it fits through most doors and has a basket underneath for shopping. The only down fall is no cup holder, so we bought an attachement from onestepahead.com . The seats fully recline and it has a 5 point harness as well. Good luck on your search and decision.

My twins are a bit older than yours (16 months), but I think that would be fine. I had the Chicco Twin Trevi SBS which I just sold, and we have a jogging stroller that I LOVE. We're thinking of getting lightweight umbrella strollers for traveling, too.

I had the twin duo tandem by Graco to start off with and my two really did not like it. I also didn't like it much mainly because
if they're not happy I'm not! But also because I couldn't SEE them while I was walking with them. A friend of mine gave me a
new Mclaren twin stroller. It allows them to sit next to each other and they LOVE it. They are 6 months and sit pretty well in it.
I can't tell you how much I love the thing. I can clearly see them...they both have the same view...and it fold so well without
having to break my back to get it out of the car! I'll never use the other stroller again now that I have this one. If I knew what I
know NOW I would've never spent so much on the tandem stroller I would've only purchased a side by side. It's so much nicer.

we have an sbs combi twin savvy. it's a trifold and weighs only 23lbs but it is still too big for the trunk. it's very similar to the mclaren. i like the idea of the umbrella stroller because they are super compact when folded. i was just worried that they wouldn't be comfortable in them but we are going to try them anyway and see how it goes.
