I'm 15 weeks pregnant, and have been having some spotting and cramping the last few days. My doctor got me in for an ultrasound to measure the length of my cervix today. He thought it might have been thinning out but after U/S it is measuring normal. He said that I have a case of complete placenta previa. I guess the placenta may move as the babies get larger but if it does not then C-Section will be mandatory. He didn't sound very reassuring that this would happen being that it is completely covering the cervix. I'm hoping to hear some good outcomes with placenta previa?

I only had partial previa (found at 15 weeks) but within a few weeks it had moved completely off of my cervix! I think especially with twins and how big your uterus stretches that it's VERY common to start with a previa and have it resolve completely before the birth. Stay positive, I've heard lots of good stories even with completely previas.

I had a complete previa found at 18 weeks. At my last ultrasound at just under 25 weeks, it had moved completely off my cervix and was then considered a low-lying placenta.

I was worried for a few days when I found out in the beginning but a few girls on here who have also had one helped me to calm down. You have plenty of time for it to move! Try your best to not stress over it too much.

I had it at my 15 or 16 week ultrasound.. By my 20 week ultrasound it was completely moved... Good luck!

I also had partial around 14 weeks, but by 18 it moved completely. I also have a friend (who is just having a singleton) who had complete previa until about 24 weeks, but it moved away also. So it's definitely possible for it to move away from your cervix. Try not to worry (easier said than done) because there is not a whole lot you can do about it.

I had a partial previa and it didn't lift but I never had any problems with it besides some spotting arounds 12 weeks. Best wishes

Thanks everyone. Its good to know that even complete placenta previa can move out of the way. I didn't even see a negative post. Maybe it moving is just something to hope for (it moving of course) rather than something to worry about right now. :)
