Ultrasound Update

Just got back from a monthly ultrasound appt. Babies are both head down, cervix still only 1 cm dilated. The great news is how big they are! Baby A is 5.5lbs!!!! Baby B is shortly behind with 5.0 lbs!! I cant believe they are so big already! I am relieved but now scared at how big they may be in 4 weeks! Does anyone know the growth rate usually of twins in the last month? I heard they gain 1 oz a day??? Anyone hear that? Or is it the usual like one baby 1/2 lb a week? I read that the growth rate slows for twins in the last month. Any news???

 

That is great to hear!!! they are such good size already and you still have a few weeks left!! I think your going to have some strong babies you go girl!!

I don't know the answer to your question, but it's great to hear they are such good weights at this point!!

 

Mine were 4lbs5oz and 4lbs6oz at 30 weeks, and lower 6lbs range at 34 weeks, born 7lbs11oz and 7lbs10oz at 38w2d. They basically gained a little less than 2lbs per 4 weeks in my case. And the best thing of all is, that the u/s turned out to have been extremely accurate.

WOW! Those were some great baby weights! I am scheduled to be induced 38 weeks 2days too so I am hoping for those weights!! Thanks for sharing!!
