went and had my ultrasound done on Friday and Dr is saying that I am having monoamniotic twins.... We could see a small
membrane line but he said that it didnt look like it went all the way around baby.. i got back March 5th and he said that we will look more into it then and find out the sex.. Any info on mono/mono twins would help me so much...

I am pregnant with MOMO babies too. Mine are girls. Go to monoamniotic.org this website is very helpful......You are still early - if they saw some sort of membrane then I would have a referal to a PERI to make sure - so it right away.....a good time to check for a membrane is between 16 and 20 weeks.

I am going in for inpatient hospital bed rest starting tomorrow.....

If you are having MOMO twins....hold on - this will be a crazy ride.....

PM me if you have any other questions.....I do have A LOT of answers.

Yes - perinatoligist is the same - a specialist in high risk pregnancies....Did your OB send you over to him? 18 weeks should be a good time to see if there is a membrane. (But I have heard of up to 24 weeks - them finding a membrane) I was in denial a long time (about 20 weeks along) when I finally came to realize the situation.....I hope you are doing well. I went on modified bed rest at 17 weeks...and have been on strict and modified since (alternating when needed) They say the more you rest the better the growth will be for the babies - the more calories going to them, and not uned up by your energy. Also you need to just relax....and not stress...that can harm the babies too. Since you have kids...like I do - you know how precious these babies are - do whatever you can to rest and not do much! Pregpare now for hospital bed rest. I go in tomorrow, but I will have a laptop, so you can still contact me. Go to the website in te PP - that will help you understand what MOMO twins are - and what the dangers are compared to other types of twins....If you don't know by now - your babies are IDENTICAL! It will be great! Good luck!QUOTE(rotruck74 @ Feb 4 2008, 12:39 PM)

I don't really have anything to add here as we have been told we are mono/di, but the other members of this community have been a balm to my own worries because they have pooled their knowledge and experience and are willing to share it!

I wish you and your little ones all the best!

We could barely see the girls membrane at 24 weeks (and all thru the rest of the pregnancy). Here is to hoping for a thin membrane!
