I had an ultrasound yesterday at 18 weeks and 5 days. I learned that they WON'T tell me the sex of the babies until 24 weeks - not cool. I was pretty upset.

Good news is that both babies are measuring between 19 and 20 weeks with heartbeats in the high 150's. DH thinks they are girls based on this - anyone else want to weigh on on this one??

well my babies are in the high 140's all the way to 160's depending on the day and what i eat and im having boys, but i am also carrying them really low, and i am more bitchy then i am emotional everyone said they knew they were boys by all those symptoms b4 we had our gender determination lol.... either way i was happy, so im not sure what u are going to be having!!

hi...that really sucks that they wouldn't tell you, how rude, not even a guess!!

I am having twin girls...their heart beats have been ranging from 147 to 155bpm. hope that helps.

I'm having a boy and a girl and the heartbeats run about the same - usually 150's for both of them.

Oh the HB debate... We are having one of each and we were surprised to find out that Baby B who is the boy his HB is higher than his sister's. Austin's is 156 and Addi is 147, so they are the opposite of the old wives tale.

That really stinks they won't tell you. What was their reason for witholding?

My babies always had almost identical h/b's, around 150, sometimes lower, sometimes (but not often) a little higher ... we have a boy and a girl!

We had b/g twins (although we didn't find out before hand). Both their hb's were all over the place, sometimes the same. I really don't think that hb is an indicator, it's just an old wives tale.

That stinks that they wouldn't tell you the sexes, did they say why they wait until 24w?

Both my girls were always in the 160's for the HBs. DS was 140 mostly, but a few times 150. I think 150 can go either way, but it is an old wives tale, but it was pretty accurate for all 3 of mine.

    Glad things went well.
