    Hi Ladies!

We have our chorionicity u/s this Thursday and was wondering if there's any questions I should ask while in u/s (see what info I can find out at the appt instead of having to wait to see my dr!)

I am planning on asking them what type of twins they are - i.e. how many placentas...
And how far along they are measuring...

Anything else you can think of that you wished you would have asked? Or had them point out/explain to you...?

    TIA! :)

I would ask the length of the cervix.

I'd want to know a plan of care (how often I'm being seen; what happens if stuff is weird); where do I go if I need to be seen after hours and does this hospital have a NICU are a few off the top of my head.

If they share a placenta you should ask if their fluid levels are equal (or close) If you have mono di twins you should discuss with your doc weekly monitoring for twin to twin transfusion syndrome.

I would just ask them to make sure to tell you everything that they are looking at and measuring. Some techs are great at narrating the whole ultrasound (and they tend to be looong!), and some really just go about their business and won't discuss with you at all unless you ask specific questions. I always wanted to know what I was looking at and always asked for clarification if they said what it was and I just wasn't seeing it!

They should tell you (again, if you ask) what the estimated gestational age, weight, etc is but remember that this is based on a mathematical equation from the measurements that they take and it is often not spot on.

I never bothered asking about fluid or cord blood flow or anything like that until I was aware that there may be an issue...if there is a concern, your doctor will let you know asap!
