I swear, I'm NEVER one to break out and this is driving me nuts. Until I got pregnant, I don't remember the last time I had a pimple. Now, I have these two on my chin that will almost go away and then they erupt again. they are those BIG ones that primarily stay below the surface and hurt like heck. Then, my forehead is covered in all these little pimple-raised areas. You can't see them unless you are right in my face, but I can feel them when I wash my face and put on my makeup.

I ahven't even been using real makeup like foundation...just some powder to kind of even out my skin tone.

Anyone else have this problem while pregnant? I feel like I look 12 again...ugh, it's so annoying. Any good recommendtions of something I could use to make it any better?

I broke out with a lot of tiny pimples on my cheeks when I was pregnant. It lasted for about the first three months, it was so annoying, and nothing seemed to get rid of it. Yet anothing thing that can be blamed on the hormones I guess.

I had the same thing happen. It was about 13 weeks and lasted until about 16 weeks. I didn't change what I was using during that time, mainly because I had just read something about pregnancy breakouts. Anyway, it wasn't fun. I am 18 weeks now and it has stopped. It will pass with time. I know it isn't fun!

I've had this problem since puberty. I have never had clear skin since elementary school :( :cray: It's actually something I'm really depressed about but can't do much about it since all the perscription meds have such a detrimental effect should i ever get pg that I could never stomach taking it until after menopause. It's so embarassing for me to go into work looking like a teenager with a huge red zit (or three) exploding on my face as it is a very professional environment and I feel like all people do is stare at it. I'm thinking of trying Proactive as I have nothing to lose at this point.

I don't have any suggestions other than making sure that your face is clean. I know that you aren't supposed to use any benzol peroxide products when you're pregnant but I'm not sure if a product with salycilic acid (sp) would be ok. It's hormones being out of whack that is doing it. Sorry.

The docs and pharmacists I've spoken to have said Proactive is fine to use and I think that's benzoil peroxide.

That's odd - mine told me in the first trimester not to use Oxy or products like it because of the benzoyl peroxide. I wonder if there was another reason. Hmmm :unknw:

I got that and used St. Ives Apricot Scrub with salicylic acid... worked MIRACLES. I used it once a day until it went away, then once a week.
