U/S today

At the appt today, my cervix is now down to 2.7 or 2.5 (when simulating a contraction by pushing down) Last week it was at 2.9 for both. They did say they were happy to see that there was no funneling of the cervix. I am 22 weeks today. I have put myself back on modifed bedrest until we speak to my ob next friday, and we'll be going in to be measured again then.

 

I'm sorry to hear that, I'm in the same boat. Thankfully after some bedrest I stablized, hopefully you will be too. Best of luck dearie, please keep us updated. *hugs & belly rubs*

 

sorry to hear that. i have the same prob mines 3cm without stimulating contraction at 15 weeks. dont stress tho just do what the doctors say my cervix was 1.6 with my first pregnancy i had alot of hospital bedrest but i carried till 38weeks until they induced me so i proberly would have gone to term but when the docs say stay off your feet do as they say

So sorry you are having cervix issues, I so feel your pain. I was at 2.7 cm with no funneling at 20 weeks and my OB put me on very strict bedrest and meds. Are you having alot of contractions? I was having some BH contractions. The good news is that bedrest actually helped me and my cervix lengthened. Good Luck!

 

No contractions at all. We didn't see the ob yesterday, but the docs don't seem overly concern and haven't put me on rest as of yet, but my dh and I are taking this extremely serious and have put me on modified bedrest (only modified cause i have a 2.5 to feed and take care of... thank god for tv and movies).

 

Great that you are taking all the precautions. My modified bedrest has really helped my cervix stay stabalized and pretty much stopped my contractions!!

 

Good for you putting yourself on modified bed rest. Sometimes we have to listen to our bodies even if the Dr. didn't suggest it. Good luck to you and try to keep those feet up and drink plenty of water.

 

I was on BR from week 21 to delivery (31.6 weeks)....I was measuring 2.5 at 21 weeks....it stayed in the 2.1-2.7 range until 30 weeks and then stayed at 1.8. We delivered due to baby B distress...my cervix *may* have held out to 34 weeks since it was NOT funneling or reacting to PTL and constant contrax!
