tylenol

Am I the only one that is still a little uneasy about giving my babies infant tylenol or are we in the clear now?

 

I give mine Tylenol based on their weight, I think our pediatrician gave us the ok to do a dropper and a half once they cleared 20 some lbs. If you are concerned you can always contact your pedi. We have not had any issues with Tylenol.

 

Do you mean because of the recall? We checked our batch numbers and didn't have any of the bad ones so I'm not worried about it.

 

Infant Tylenol shoudl be safe from day one. It was ibuprofen and aspirin that isn't allowed right away. The ibuprofen is allowed after 6 months. Some doctors don't know why and still prescribe it earlier, but the bottle of ibuprofen says no earlier than 6 months. Tylenol is safe earlier. Mine have been using that since they were only a couple of months old.

Yours should be safe to use Tylenol now. But as always, if you are concerned, it's best to ask your doctor for any medical advice. I am not a doctor so this is only my own experience I'm advising from.

I just checked the numbers on what I had in the house and didn't have any that was affected. For the most part we use the store brand so I wasn't too concerned about it.

 

I've been using the generic store brand of acetamenophin (sp?) instead of getting the name brand Tylenol. It's cheaper, which is the biggest reason!
