Tylenol after shots question

We had our 2 month checkup yesterday, the girls are doing great! Weights are 10 lbs & 9 lbs 12 oz, both are 21 1/2" long. The shots were traumatic for all three of us, but very little crankiness yesterday.
I gave them tylenol drops all day yesterday and feel like they need it today--they are still not back to normal playwise, and seem a little hot and cranky. My question is how long did you give tylenol after their two month shots? I hate to keep "drugging" them but I want them to be comfortable. The literature I was given about the shots said they can feel the effects of them for 1 to 3 days afterwards.

Congrats on a great check-up. Ours went well last week as well! I gave Tylenol every 4 hours that afternoon and half the next day. I gave it to my son every 6 hours for the next half day because he did not seem "back to normal." Iwould not worry about giving it to them for a few days, it is what our doctor said we could do. Both kids were sleepy for two days after... I guess from all the screaming!!

My boys just had their 2 month shots last week and I gave them tylenol as needed for about 3 days afterward. I didn't give it to them every four hours, I just gave it to them until their fevers went down and then I would stop unless they got a fever again. They didn't seem to be affected painwise from the shots, so, I didn't give it to them for that, just the fever. Hope this helps!

I gave it for 24 hours around the clock then just when I felt they needed it for the next day which was about 2 or 3 more doses.

I don't know if they recommended this either - giving them a dose an hour before the shots - it helps with the initial pain...our 2 month shots were h*ll because they didn't get it fast enough, but our 4 month shots went much better - oh and mine don't get fevers, but the muscles in their legs get into hot little bunches, so I gave for 24 hours or so afterward...

Thanks everyone, I gave them Tylenol for 24 hours, then 2 additional doses the next day. After that they seemed to feel a lot better.
