    1. Does anyone have problems with baby acne?? One of my girls, just looks aweful, she has pimples all around her nose and mouth, even in the corner of her eyes. In the morning it looks much better, but 1 hour into the day, and she is all red and has pimples again. I was using wet wipes to wipe their faces after they ate, and I stopped doing that, and now just use washcloths, but to no avail. Anyone have a cure.

    2. One of the girls for the last couple of days has been getting up at 4:30 am FOR THE DAY :umm: I have tried everything to get her back to sleep, but nothing works. So we struggle with her till 5:30 - 6:00 am and then just get up. She is as cranky as anything until her morning nap, then just passes out. I have been putting her to bed an 1/2 hour before the other, because she simply can't make it till the regular time. Help me out here please I don't know what to do, I certainly hope this is not becoming the norm.

    Thanks!!!!!!!

One of my babies has acne. I find the less I wash him the better it is. (sound funny - would be the opposite with adult acne)

Our babies naturally wake around 4:30/5:00am, and we were having issues with this. We think they're waking up because they're hungry at this point and basically started looking at it as a night feeding (otherwise they STTN from about 7pm). We feed them in the dark with no interaction then put them back in their cribs with their pacis. It took a couple weeks, but now they seem to get it and go back to sleep until 7:30am when I wake them up for the day.

At some point soon though, I want to try to stretch them through this. This is more of a sanity saver than a long-term strategy!

    Ditto on this one.

I didn't think my boys were ever going to sleep past 6-7 AM and now they sleep until 8:30-9 AM!!

One of my girls had the baby acne...and I was also going out of my mind! Give it time, it will eventually clear up on it's own - although it can take a few months. Just keep her clean and do everything normally - It doesn't sound like an allergic reaction, so I really think you should be ok using the wipes still.

My friend has a problem with her son waking up way too early also. She has tried so many things including forcing him to stay awake later at night, and feeding him - nothing worked to her advantage. One thing she finally did was just leaving him in the crib until a reasonable hour, and this did work after about a week. As long as you can listen to her fuss a little bit, this is what I would suggest. But all babies are different, so good luck on this one!

The baby acne sounds like sensitive skin. One of mine has it, one doesn't, but my older son had really bad skin issues. Our doc said to use 1% hydrocortisone. it will take the redness away right away. You can't use it all the time, but for flare-ups it's fine. Also, I wouldn't use wipes--they are scented and probably add to the irritation. I would mostly leave it alone and try the cortisone.

As for the waking up at 4:30, our 2 yr old went through that phase several times. Around six months, again around a year, again around 18 months... it seems that nothing we did really helped--it just resolved itself. It was horrible. I dread the next round of it!

    Good luck.

I wouldn't use any soap on the baby acne. Just warm water.

As for waking early, I would feed her a couple of ounces when she wakes early then put her back to bed. Treat it like a night feeding. But then get her back up at the normal wake time whatever you want that to be and feed her a bottle then. I don't know if you have tried that or not. Does she cry if you try to put her back down or wake the other twin? I would give her the little bottle then put her back down if she isn't waking the other twin. Also, I would try everything to keep her awake later at night. A warm bath or give a pacifier while she is playing or anything you can think of that she likes that might keep her happy and awake - walk outside with her if she is fussy - whatever, because that is probably a big part of the waking early.

I just had to adjust mine again because they were waking too early for my taste. So, we moved bedtime back about 30-45 min. and now they are getting up around 7:00 which is what I wanted.

    Good luck!
