Fun week over here! The kids got colds the week before Easter. Nicholas was the last one to get it. He had this cough that told me...ear infection. Easter he had a slight fever, and then he was fine. All day Monday-fine. I kept them home from school though because of the cough(and fever day before). Long story short, I went against my better judgement and didn't take him in(no complaints of ear pain, etc). After dinner at a friends, 6:30, he immediately started complaining of his ear hurting. He never complains! Crying, wanting to leave, etc. So we made our first trip to the urgent care near our house where, sure enough, he had an ear infection!

Fast forward to today, we went out to dinner and then to the park afterwards. We were there maybe 20 or so minutes where out of the corner of my eye I see him fall on the stairs. He immediately screamed and I immediately ran to him. I grabbed him and ran to the car and told dh to follow me. I had no idea where he was hurt, how bad he was hurt-nothing. I set him down and saw the blood dripping from his chin and knew it couldn't be good!

Two hours in the er, four stitches later-he's good as new! He was AMAZING! He never cried while there(he cried on impact and that was it), and watched a movie on the iPad while he was stitched. The staff was amazing too. I did ask for a little sedative of some sort, but they had the child specialist come over, chatted about what was going to go on, and determined the sedative wasn't needed. They put numbing cream on it as soon as we went back, and that did the trick.

He was so proud of himself! And when he showed his siblings, it was so cute how they looked at him in awe and he relayed what happened behind the doors! And man, Anthony gets so worked up with worry! But it is really sweet to see.

Not bad for four and a half years old, right?!? Lol!

That's enough excitement for the week, don't ya say?!?
