Two Comments That Have Cracked Me Up

I know there are more comment posts in the first year than here, but I have never actually shared any of mine because I feel so lucky to have babies who garner such attention and create such a spectacle most places we go.

Where I live, there are a lot of poor people. I mean that in the monetary sense as I'm sure many feel richer than I, most of the time.

Anyway, I walk every day as long as it's possible and now that it's more and more possible we are becoming celebrities downtown.

In the last two weeks, though, I have heard the funniest comments -- ones that inspired me to call and tell DH right away.

The first was from a passing car, who was stopped at the intersection we were crossing through, and she yelled from her window, "Aw, triplets?"

How does one answer that without making a person feel bad? I think I did OK. I responded with a big smile and nodded my head and said, "Twins, actually." She let out an aw, they're adorable, and we parted.

But, yesterday was almost as funny. Again, walking and a group of school girls who had just gotten out of high school giggled past and commented on how cute they are and kept doing so as they walked on. A minute later they yelled out to me, "Are they Bryson's babies?"

I'm like, "Who?" They said, "Bryson?"

I shook my head and smiled. DH (who is Dan) said they better not be Bryson's!

 

haha, teenagers these hays come up with the funniest things, i wonder who bryson is?

:rotflmbo: :rotflmbo: OMG that made me laugh that they thought it was, I'm assuming, a high schoolers kids. What would they have done if you would have said, "yes they are Bryson's kids." That is too funny.

I have come to the realization that people are just going to stop us and make comments. I try to respond as nicely as possible even if I'm thinking duh, how dumb can you be. But we do get mostly positive comments.

Kind of makes you wonder what you will hear on your walk today huh???

 

That's too funny. I think I would have said "yea they're Bryson's" too. At least they weren't the usual comments.
