Twins with small feet?

When I was in middle school I wore a size 10 shoe, but somehow through the years I have went down to a 9. DH wears a 12. So, why in the world would we have babies with tiny feet? I have looked on numerous size charts on the internet and in general they say a 6-9 month old baby should wear around a size 3. A size 3 is HUGE on one of my 9 month olds. They fall right off of her. My other one is a little more comfortable in a 3, but I am just amazed that DH & I have produced girls with smaller feet. DS feet was always larger than the chart.

With Fall and Winter approaching, we will all probably be looking into what size shoes we need. I am interested to see what size everyone else's twins wear and if one twins foot is bigger than the other. At 9 months, I think one is is a 3 and the other in a 2. How about yours?

My twins have tiny feet too. I learned very quickly not to pay any attention to the age ranges and just see what fit. When we bought their first "real" shoes (i.e. not Robeez) at 12 months, Amy was a size 2 and Sarah was a 3 (barely).

There aren't very many good shoes available for walkers in a size 2 -- we wound up buying Amy's shoes at Target from the "pre-walkers" section. (They were fine, BTW -- she loved them and wore them for months.) It was such a relief to me when they both hit a size 5 (around 24 months!) because the options are so much wider in size 5 and up. But their feet are still growing slowly -- we often get 6+ months out of a single pair of shoes.

My girls were only in a 4 at 15 months. Now they are finally wearing a 5 at almost 18 months! MUCH better selection at size 5!

Mine are still size 1 at 15 months old. But I think the size 2's we have are starting to fit better. Try to find good walking shoes in size 1's. Not easy.

Same here. Actually 5s are still too big, but they don't fall off so I figure its good for them to have some wiggle room.

For the longest time when they were infants I couldn't put socks on them because they were too big and would fall off!

mine have VERY small feet - at 27 months DD needs a 5.5 (which they don't make unless I buy ridiculously expensive shoes) so I wound up buying her a 6 - but last summer at 15-16-17 mos she was in a size 2 to 3....

I started worrying about this the other day. While at Target I decided to see what size they'd be if I bought them shoes. (They've never worn shoes.) I was shocked that they would be in either size 1 or 2. (Most are labled 0-3mth or 3-6mth.) I'm glad I'm not the only one with babies with small feet. (Though I have small feet. I wear womens 5 mostly, sometimes 5.5.)

Small feet here, too. But only in my kids. Maggie is finally up to about normal for her age at 4 years, but Jackie just turned 2 and is in size 4, and Beth is in size 5.

This makes me feel better. I was getting worried that something was wrong with Carrie's foot growth.

I wear a 10.5 and DH wears a 12.5. Our DD stalled at a size 5 shoe for over a year (from about 15 months to over 2)!! I kept going into Stride Rite, asking, "doesn't she need new shoes yet?" and they would measure her and say nope! She may not end up with my loooonnnng feet, but she does have my skinny feet... narrow really narrows shoe options!

Mine were in a size 2 at 12 months, size 3 at 14.5 (when they started walking), size 4 at 16 months, and right now they are mainly in some size 4s and their tennis shoes are size 5s.

small feet here too - I can't get them to keep any shoes on their feet so it's not like it matters anyway though!

My DS has Big feet.. Hes not even one and he is in a size 5. DD is in a size 3 still.. Starting to move on to the size 4. I think the problem with her though is that he has skinny feet and all the baby shoes are wide. they just fall off.
