Twins Twice?

[SIZE=12pt]We have 8 month old twins that we concieved using 1 round of clomid. While we arent ready to add to our family just yet we would like to when the twins are older... Im wondering how many of you have gotten twins twice and how did you conceive? IM nervous that it would happen again! My husband says we've done it once we can do it again, but Im just not sure!

I believe you have a 20% chance if you got your twins spontaniously (no drugs). With Clomid there is an additional chance. I did IVF to get my set of twins and then I got pregnant spontaniously (while breastfeeding & older) when the twins were two years old and it was a set of twins. No family history of twins. Unfortunately I lost one early.

I don't know what the odds are, but I would LOVE to have another set!

 

I am currently pregnant with my 4th set of naturally occuring twins.

 

I think after you have had twins once you are three times more likely than the general public to conceive twins again. I am currently pregnant with my 2nd set.

 

Natural fraternal twins occur in 2-3% of all pregnancies. Our Ob told us since we had one set our odds double when/if we try again. So, 4-6%.

All of my twins have been frat, my ob's office says I am the only one in their history that has had that many, lol

 

i am preggo with my second set of twins.. no drugs though...

I hear that alot, but seriously I think it is a curse to be so fertile.

Has any one ever heard of any one else who had this happen to them without drugs?

 

I had 2 btb identical twin pregnancies. Lost one twin to vanishing twin in the 2nd pregnancy at 12 weeks. Rare as that is I fully believe if I were to get pregnant again it would be twins.
