Hi Ladies, I'm hoping to connect with anyone else who may be in a similiar situation as mine. My twins are 15 1/2 months and I have an infant daughter who is 5 1/2 months. (They call this "Irish Triplets!") Anyway, I would love to connect with someone else who is in a similiar situation. Thanks! Mary

My situation isn't quite so dramatic...but I did have the twins when dd had just turned 20 months... what's nice about having them so close is that they never remember not having their siblings... no jealously issues here...it just doesn't occur to them that mommy has a lot of time to spend with just one....and they are more content doing things all together...

P.S. I do know a family with "irish quads"... they had a set of IVF triplets, after 3 or more years of trying and several failed rounds of IVF... the b/b/g trips were born at 26 weeks... the docs warned the parents to "be careful"..but the parents laughed b/c of the many years they spent trying to conceive on their own... well, by the time the trips were 8 weeks old they had conceived #4 on their own!!! She was born when her siblings were around 11 months old...but their adjusted age was more like 9 months!!! I think it's worked out great for them...they have potty trained the kids together...and weight wise their #4 caught up to her siblings by the time she was eight months old.. so the only difference between her and the others was communication...but now the trips are 3.5 and she is 2.5 and there is hardly any difference at all... I do feel a little bad for her b/c she'll be a year behind in school while they are all moving ahead...

We're in a similar situation, too. Our twins were 19 months when our singleton was born. It's crazy at times, but lots of fun! Welcome to TS!!

We are in a somewhat similar situation. The twins will be 2 next week and my son Liam was born 2 weeks ago.

Wow - congrats! [IMG] We're expecting boy #3 the month after the boys turn 2 so not as close as yours but not too bad either. Hoping things are going well with you! I'm sure in a lot of ways it'll be great having them so close together but it's probably a lot of work for you right now [IMG] Welcome to group!

Mary, wow ten months apart. That is really close in age. I bet they will be really close growing up. That is what I tell myself when times are rough around here. Jordyn & Taylor were 19 months old when Ellie & Avery were born. Hectic it is, but at the end of the day it is so worth it.

Thanks for all your responses ladies! It's nice to know I'm not the only one in this situation. Actually, I know it will have alot of advantages as the kids grow. My twins love to play with each other. Now that my infant responds to them with giggles and smiles they love that too! It's so cute to watch. Isn't motherhood great??!!!! Mary
