Twins? please help

I am 6 weeks pregnant today.
at 5 weeks 5 days i was having some pain and my doctor ordered an emerg u/s.
when the lady who was doing my u/s was finished taking pics(vaginal and abdominal), i asked if the tech could see anything and she said she couldnt tell me anything, she just took the pictures after she was done taking the pics she turned the screen my way and said " look, nothing here" the moved it a little and all of a sudden there was two round black circles side by side, i know she is not allowed to tell me anything, but im not sure if it was something else or she was trying to show me without saying anything...there was nothing inside of them yet, and i know that can be normal for only 5 weeks or i could not be as far along as i thought, but do you guys think the 2 black circles were 2 gestational sacs? everything else in my uterus showed white..the only color was the 2 black circles, and they were very obvious and close together,im positive they werent my ovaries...what do you think? im going nuts here waiting for the results and i figured all you twin mommies would know what im trying to explain here..was she trying to show me without words ...

 

I don't want to get your hopes up but that's what I saw was 2 little round circles at 7 weeks. Stupid me I just thought they were zoomed in on the face or something at first, or maybe that was denial LOL! Sounds like you MAY have 2 bundles! Keep us posted! Good luck!

 

I am going completely insane sitting here waiting...im assuming nothing was wrong seeings how they didnt keep me at the hospital, and its been almost 3 dyas since ive heard anything. I think i may be in shock, but i know what i saw, and when i was pregnant with my DD i saw only one of those...im really hoping its twins and my uterus isnt just playing with me lol.

 

WOW!! You had an emergency U/S 3 days ago and you haven't heard anything? Was this in an ER?? Did the ER doc not speak to you after he/she received the results from the U/S? Sounds strange to me. The only time I ever went to ER, the doc came to speak to me afterwards and that was actually when we discovered that I was carrying twins. No, the tech cant say anything but the doctor certainly should -- and not days later. I would call and find out why you didnt get any results. And if the results went to your OB, I would definitely be on the phone to the office.

 

I just called again, and they STILL havent gotten anything in, she told me to call back this afternoon, but if i dont get them today, im going to go to a different clinic and get them to pull up my hospital charts online. I didnt see a doctor in the ER because my doc called and told me to go straight to the u/s station and then i was told i can go home.

 

Oh you poor thing!!! I assumed that you were on a blackberry or something in the hospital waiting, didn't realize it had been 3 days! UGH! Definitely bug them to find out. My tech was the one who told me it was twins although I after he told me that I asked a ton of questions about care for twins and when I talked to my doc they said they shouldn't have answered the questions I had asked. Nothing like keeping a woman in the dark! Good luck!

 

I just called back, and the doctor was all rushed talking to me, he said there is only one, but i clearly saw 2!! i told him that and he said oh really?.grrrrrrr...so i guess there is just one for now!!

 

I just find it bizarre that he sent you in for an emergency ultrasound but wasnt bothered about the results for 3 days. If there was something urgent enough to have you go in for the scan in the first place, then he should have been more concerned about the results.

I would find a different ob if they are too rushed to talk to you and not contact you back in a timely manner after sending you to the er.
