twins everytime?

My dad is doing our family tree and we found out that my grandmother had twins all three times she was pregnant.....

can you have twins everytime? Or is that just luck of the draw and she got super lucky?

 

Interesting! I think when some women ovulate, they release more than one egg...maybe your grandmother was one of those!

 

My cousin's great grandmother had 2 sets of twins and a set of triplets (one of which died.) It was b/g twins, frat g/g twins, and then id b/b + a frat sister set of triplets (the girl died.)

 

My great grandmother on my mother's side had two sets of twins out of her six children. My great aunt had a set of triplets and a set of twins and a few singletons.

 

I have a co-worker who's mom had three sets of identical twins (yes Identical!) Those were the only kids she had. Her MD tied her tubes after the third telling her, "You will have twins every time you get pregnant"

 

My last pg was twins although I m/c one very early. I thought they were a result of clomid. However, no fertility drugs this time and I got pg with twins again. They don't run in either side of the family so I'm not sure where they came from!

 

My MIL has 8 kids, supposidly she has been pregnant w/ twins 3x once w/DH older brother B/G , once w/him also B/G, both the girls didn't continue to develop from early on but there was evidence of them on placenta? that's what she told me anyway. and then her last 2 were ID boys
some women hyperovulate, always releasing more than one egg at a time, so if that was the case twins everytime could be very likely.
