Hi all--who cobedded their twins in the same crib? Mine were together in one pack and play until they reached the weight limit andnow are in two separate pack and plays in our room. We are ready to move them to the cribs soon. Our pedi has no problem with them sharing a crib...although i have read conflciting reports. What have you done and if they slept together how did you position them? side by side or feet to feet? The boys are 19 weeks old but only 7 weeks adjusted...so not moving too much and not turning over or anything. Thanks for any response....

My twins shared a crib until they were 6 months old. At that point Jake was rolling all over Emma, keeping her awake, so I decided to put them in separate cribs, sharing a room. They still share a room at 3.

ETA...When they were sharing a crib, I put them down side by side.

Still sharing a crib at 4 months old, and I lay them side by side sideways in the crib still, although they are almost too long for that, won't be long I have to rotate them! :D

They have to share a crib for probably another 3-4 months until we get their room done, first we have to redo our spare room for the big kids then the big kids old room for the babies. If we had the money it would be sooner but we have to do it in bits and pieces!

Mine shared a bassinet, then a crib until around 4.5 months. My DD started rolling over and screaming alot so we seperated them. They still share a room. I felt bad seperating them, but I think they liked it, at least they had no problems when it happened.

Ours shared an arms reach co-sleeper until 3-4 months of age. Then we transitioned them to 2 separate cribs in 1 shared room.

We had mini cribs so once we finally moved away from sleeping in the swings, bouncy chairs and carriers they went into their own beds. I would have co bedded until they started disrupting each other if we had gone with reg cribs. When they were little they would cobed for naps in the PNP. I think we went into the cribs around 4/5 months (2/3 adjusted).

Mine shared a crib until they were 6 months old, they were too big to fit anymore. We transitioned to separate rooms after that. Mine slept side by side when they shared a crib.

I am surprised to see that there weren't any non co-bedding posts... Our girls were in the NICU for 25 days and they were so adamant about telling us not to co-bed despite all of the great books we read that we kept them in separate cribs from day 1. They also were in separate isolettes while in the NICU and they did great with it all. I actually think they are more comfortable on their own then co-bedding since when I put them together now, one tend to accidentally "punch" each other with their flailing arm : )

My boys sleep side by side at 4 months. They will prob remain together until toddler beds in about another year. When they get bigger they will be placed at oppisite ends of the crib.

The older twins shared a crib till 13 months, and snuck into each others beds until age 3.

Both of my sets don't/didn't sleep well alone.

Mine shared a cosleeper for about 5 months and they slept side by side (with a little divider between them). I moved one to their room in their crib before the other (who was still in our room) and then moved the other but she sleeps in the cosleeper set up as a playpen. I think it would be sweet if they slept together, but they move around sooo much at night I know they'd wake each other up.

Our girls started in separate bassinet/cradles that my FIL made (absolutely GORGEOUS btw!!!), but they would make noises and not go to sleep. We put them together in a pak n play and they started sleeping better. I think it would have been better if we could have put the cradles closer together, but they were in our room and there just wasn't room. Once they outgrew the pnp we kept them in the same crib until I think between 6-8 months? I honestly cannot remember right now. But they were just waking each other up, and there wasn't a good way to position them and keep them off of each other. They do great in their own beds.

My boys both slept in one pack n'play in our room until about a week and a half ago (they're a little over 5 months), they slept side by side and were almost too big for it. I probably would have kept doing it but it was the boys themselves that let me know they were ready to be in separate cribs. Every time I put them to bed they'd wake each other up by grabbing each others ears/hair, and smacking each other in the face. I decided to transition them to their nursery with two cribs and they've been great ever since. They're sleeping much better now

Mine shared a crib from the time they were born until they moved to twin beds a few months ago. Now they each have their own bed, but I still usually find them cuddled together in one bed when I check them at night. They always slept great together, usually with their arms around each other.

mine did for the first month and then colic crept in and they slept in swings for 3 months after that...at 4 months when they transitioned they transitioned to their own cribs in the same room until they were nearly 3 and we moved and they each got their own room - it was definitely time as they were starting to disrupt each others sleep...

oddly enough they don't go into each others rooms to sleep...I figured that would happen but it hasn't yet and they've been in toddler beds for about a month and a half now...

Ours were also seperated in the NICU, and we were told by doctor co-bedding was not recommended. We had them in seperate mini co-sleepers until 2 weeks ago, and now they are in seperate cribs in their room. When I do put them together they tend to "knock each other out" as well. LOL

Both of mine slept with me until they were a year old. Then we moved them into one crib, we had it made, it held a twin size matress and I put them to sleep feet to feet. The bed was made in such a way that we took the rails off in stages, they still sleep in that bed feet to feet, and they are going on 5.

I can't believe there are still so many doctors in the US telling people not to put them together.

Our boys were in the NICU for 7 weeks and shared a crib as soon as they were both off ventilators/CPAP (about week 3-4 on). The NICU staff said it was totally a personal choice to co-bed them or not, once we brought them home. Their philosophy was that in the hospital, they were sooo closely monitored that the benefits of co-bedding outweighed any risks. When we brought them home, we continued because they were on monitors and then once they were off, they just really seemed to like cuddling together.

Now that they are 8 months old and moving around, its getting pretty crowded in the crib. They still nap together really well, but if I have to go in a reposition them more than once time during the night, one goes into the pack n play. I see a second crib creeping into the picture really soon....

I wish they made larger cribs. The boys really seem to like being together. They hold onto each others hands, pet each others hair and just seem to like being next to each other. SOOOOO much different than when they are awake!!

I have them co-sleeping now.. They share a new pack n play in our room. They are 2 1/2 months old but really only 2 days adjusted.. so we are still tiny.

Mine shared a co-sleeper next to our bed until 5 months. They were hitting each other in the face and getting to the weight limit of the co-sleeper. We moved them into separate cribs in a shared room. Their sleeping habits have been about the same since we moved them.

Mine shared a crib until they were almost 4 months old, and then they started getting too wriggly and big to share. We then put one in a crib and one in a pack n play in our room until they were 5 months, and put them in their own rooms and cribs. I definitely prefer them to sleep separately, it's so much better when they don't wake the other up.

Mine were together for about 2 weeks but they would strech and move too much. They ended up waking each other up so now they sleep apart!

My twins only made it to 2 months sleeping together. My daughter started squirming through the crib. Would have loved to keep them together longer.....
