I was at the bookstore today and there were only 2 books about expecting twins or multiples. What are some good books/organizers that I can read during my pregnancy? I am not particularly looking for a totally educational textbook-type book. I want something more about how to prepare me for twins and what stuff do I really need, etc.

Twinspiration and Ready or Not Here we Come were two that I liked.

I couldn't stand Twinspiration. Unorganized and poorly written IMO. Plus I didn't agree with some of the opinions.

When You're Expecting Twins, Triplets, and Quads is ok - but really focused on diet.

Those are the only 2 multiple books I have read, so I haven't found anything that was really great - yet!

I really like "Twins and Multiple Births" by Dr Carol Cooper. About two thirds of the book is about multiple pregnancies, very down to earth and realistic without scare mongering, and then the last third of the book is about bringing up multiples. It doesn't give you some of the basic pregnancy stuff though, so if the twins are your first babies, you may also want to get a basic pregnancy book.

There are ever growing numbers of books going to shelves, so hopefully everybody will be able to at least one they like or that comes close to meshing with their philosophies on pregnancy & parenting.

When I was pregnant with our two, choices were pretty limited and I thought pretty "negative/scary"....
that's why I wrote Twinspiration (so sorry it was so awful for you, HinSD, but I'm betting you will be able to find a good one that meets your needs. :) There's no one "right" book for everyone.)

When I was pregnant/new mom, I liked Christina Baglivi Tinglof's Double Duty the best. :)

I read Twinspiration and The Everything Twins, Triplets, and more Book by Pamela Fierro. I found both helpful and they helped with a lot of the anxiety I had about taking care of twins.

I've just started, but I'm reading Mothering Multiple which seems good if you are planning to breastfeed. I also liked Twinspiration and Ready or Not Here We Come. The Dr. Luke book just made me more anxious.

I do like the Dr Luke book, although it does focus too much on diet for me. I used it mostly during the 1st trimester for increasing my weight gain.

My kids' pediatrician has twin boys and she recommended "The Multiples Manual". It is so helpful. I couldn't find it in any book store so I got it from amazon.com. Well worth it.
