The last 3 mornings my twins, 13 months, have been waking up drenched. We change their diapers right before I nurse them, then they go to bed. This is about 9:30-10. They sleep until about 7:30. When I say they are drenched, I mean their diapers are about to fall apart, their clothes are soaked, and the bed is very wet. I called and left a message for the doctor, but I would like your opinions... do I just need nighttime diapers or could it be something medical?

Thanks in advance for any answers you have!

I would try either going up a size at bedtime or using a night time diaper. I'm not sure that excess peeing is something to be concerned about. It could be that they are learning to hold it in and then when they go to sleep and relax it all comes out.

Thanks! The doctor said not to worry unless they started drinking excessively and going through more than 8 diapers a day... I'm going to buy some nighttime diapers, I'm a little tired of washing sheets and morning baths!

I forgot to mention, diaper doubler are also a big help. They are like maxi pads without the glue. I used to find them at the grocery store in the diaper area. Good luck and let us know if you find something that works for you!

we have the same problem, moreso with Jake than Becca. Going up a diaper size didn't help much, but changing him again before we go to bed does help.

I haven't tried the diaper doublers yet.

We use and love the diaper doublers Trish mentioned. Locally, I can only find them at Safeway and they are store brand. Katelyn was soaking through every night prior to us trying them. We even tried a size up in diapers but that was too big and she still leaked. The only leaks we get now are on the rare occaisions that grandpa changes the bedtime diaper.
