Hi everyone! So...I am 11 days past delivery & I was just wondering if my belly will ever be the same. I have lost 30 lbs since the delivery.

No, nothing on your body will ever be the same. [IMG] There is a book called "Lose Your Mummy Tummy" that is highly recommended by several TSers.

My feet are bigger, my butt is flat (In need of walk/run), my boobs are someone elses... but my tummy is flat and my twinskin almost gone! It CAN happen! [IMG]

Me too - most of the time. Although I still wouldn't wear a bikini and it's not the same, it's 1000% better than it was in the early days after the birth. It really does improve with time.

Oh and my arms are incredibly toned (my two little heffalumps!).

    HA! Same here!

My twin skin has gotten a little better, but still not pretty. The chest and rear-end have definately gone south. [IMG]

I still have a lot of twin skin. I can pull it an inch off my body.. ewww. But everything else is pretty much normal except my feet are 1/2 size bigger.

Twin skin gets better with time so there is hope. My belly will never be the same and I will never again wear a bikini but with clothes I eventually look normal again.

My belly is just weird! I've been exercising diligently for 4 months now, so when i pull in my abs, my belly goes flatter, but there's a good amount of fat/skin/?? on top of the abs, so it still looks funny. I have terrible stretch marks and elephant skin that hangs down in 2 swoops underneath my belly button. And my belly button is now moved significantly to the left! (When I was pg, one side of my belly was much bigger, so the skin on that side really stretched)

It's definitely gotten better because I was appalled when I first saw my belly post-pardom. But it's by no means back to "normal". I don't think it'll ever be normal again, even if I go through with the tummy tuck I'm pretty sure I'll be having in a few years!

11 days is still really early after having your 2 little ones, so definitely have hope! I think much depends on how your skin reacted to your first pregnancy. Did you have a lot of stretch marks with your daughter? If not, then your twin skin may reduce significantly. I had very slightly sagging skin & tons of stretch marks after having my son, so I knew my belly wouldn't hold up very well with the twins, and it didn't. Most of it is just dependent on genetics, I think, and how well your skin retracts! Good luck! [IMG]

Well, I'm 9 pounds away from pre-pregnancy/fertility drugs weight and lemme tell you, things are just different. Boobs are droopy - I never really had any to begin with, so who knew little ones could droop, too! Skin is flabby from butt to ribs, but I'm back in normal clothes that I wasn't sure I'd ever see again. I had about a 100 pound swing in my weight during a 2 year period, so I know that I'm not a normal case. Overall, I would just say that skin takes a while to get back to its place if it's going to at all. I'm trying to think back to 11 days after...I know at 2 weeks after I had lost almost 50 pounds of fluid and baby and I could see my feet again. That was joy enough [IMG]

I am officially just now back to my pre-pregnancy weight and I agree with most of the ladies. My boobs hang way lower and my butt is flat! My stomach does look alot better than it did a couple months after delivery, however it still isn't pretty at all and I have two bulges below my belly button where my twins sat at. That being said I have already talked my wonderful DH into a tummy tuck after I am done having kids!

Hi again ladies! Thanks so much for your honest responses! I know it's soon after my delivery, just anxious, kwim? My worst part of my belly is my belly button & below. I had a few stretch marks with my first pregnancy with my dd, but got tons this time around. My waist (around my belly button) is soooo wrinkly. Total jelly belly, but I don't look too bad with clothes on. I can kind of hide it.

Any advice on specific exercises that might help in the future?

    Thanks!! [IMG]

Exercise advice: Lots of cardio, ab work, and I really like kickboxing to get my abs tight again. Also, you have got to eat clean. I also put on lotion every chance I get - this may be psychological, but I really do notice a difference when I forgot to put it on. I still have extra skin, but it really is going away. My sister said it takes about a year[IMG] I do think genetics have tons to do with it (like stretch marks) so look at your mom for the real deal! Also, it is always refreshing to look at a picture of yourself when you were pregnant...you won't believe how much you shrunk already!!
The worst thing on me is my belly button. It still sticks right out at attention. [IMG] Turkey's done!

But, keep working out, eating well, and just take care of yourself. Give it time.

My body isn't back. I have 35-40lbs to go. It's my fault it isn't a little more in shape... need to eat better and exercise. My hope is that sometime I can fit into SOME of my old clothes. Sigh.
