Just wondering how long it takes for it to fade/dissapear? Did you use anything special to speed up the process? I used Bio-Oil during and post pregnancy and now I am using Stri-Vectin (seems to be clearing up the bigger stretch marks). I had no stretch marks after my first daughter so this is all new to me.
    Thanks
    Katie

I didn't end up with any stretch marks, but the "twin skin" or loose skin that was left from it being stretched so much, took quite awhile to somewhat go away. I would say that gradually over the first year it got about 50-75% better, then over the next couple of years it slowly improved a bit more (I have lost all of the the weight). Now, at 3.5 years my stomach isn't too bad, the skin is still a little loose but not horribly. I didn't use any creams or anything, just let it get better on its own.

Agree with Tina, took a while. Even after all the exercising that I've done, I still have a little pouch that I can't seem to get rid of and if I gain ANY weight it seems to go there first.

How did you like the Bio-Oil and Stri-Vectin? I am 4 weeks out and I still have a small melon I am carrying and I am wanting to speed this process up as well. My Dr said to try the Bio-Oil. I am open to just about anything. How much and where did you buy both products? Thanks for posting this thread!

I don't have any stretch marks, either, but still have some of the twin skin. My boys are 9 months old and I lost all my pregnancy weight. I excersise 6 times a week and my stomach is flat, but the twin skin is still there.
I figured it'll take longer (maybe another year) to go away. I don't use any creams.

Bio-Oil is definately the cheaper option. Stri-Vectin is quite pricey, I live in Canada and for 180ml I paid $170. It seems to be a lot cheaper on eBay. I found it is fading my normal stretch marks quite quickly and the twin skin is diminishing slowly. The stri-vectin works on everything from wrinkles to stretch marks to spots so I think overall I like it alot better that the Bio-Oil. I am not working out or anything but I have lost all of the pregnancy and I have noticed a reduction in the twin skin wrinkles and stretch marks.

I don't exercise, and am about 10 lbs higher than I was before I got pregnant. My twins are 8 months old. I have quite the spare tire/twin skin thing going on--I imagine it sure won't go away on its own completely, without a lot of exercise and time. I used plain old suave with vitamin E lotion and my stretch marks finally are fading. I had some pretty bad ones.

I have a related question - I have been obsessing over my twin skin lately. I, too, have lost all the weight, but the skin is just awful. I've also noticed that my abdominal muscles feel like they may be split down the middle - has anyone here experienced this? When I am lying on the ground doing crunches, I feel like I can stick my fingers between my muscles down the center (vertically) of my belly.

I am actually lower than pre-twin weight (although not skinny!) and my stomach is still gross 5 months post-partum. I will try the bio-oil.
