My identical twins are so very linked. They do very strange things. My family has gotten used to it and mostly think it is soo cool and normal. Some people get a little wierded out by the twin connection and some can't get enough. ANYWAY!
I wanted to here your stories and experiences with you guys twins connection.

The strangest things that mine have done:

syncronized playing in opposite ends of the house(doing the same thing at the same time in opposite rooms)

crying when the other one is hurt in another room or one outside/ one inside

saying the same thing at the exact same time(this is constant)

breaking thier teeth at the same time(doc said that was rare)

their best friends at day care are named the same thing

I could think of more but I want to hear from other twin moms :)

My twins teeth broke the same time too. It was like we put two babies to bed one night toothless and then they woke up with two teeth each. It's happened with all their teeth. :D

Mine always do the crying thing. A lot of times it seems like the one hurt doesn't cry, and then the one not hurt will cry and say ow, etc.

Also, I go into their room to check on them sleeping, and they are always in their own beds in the exact same position as each other, even if it is a weird, uncomfortable looking position (and it's not the same position every night, just always the same as each other).

My girls rolled over for the first time about 5 seconds apart. It was like one was trying to copy the other. They were three months when they did this.

Teeth cutting is rare!? Mine have always cut teeth at the same time.

Mine need to be changed at the same time.

Mine will get hurt at the same time.

    Now on to differences:

Mine will eat with the opposite hand as the other

And when they are in there high chairs they always look in the opposite direction.

I have old pictures of them as newborns sleeping in exactly the same uncommon position and they did this all of the time. They wake within a couple of minutes of each other even if the other hasn't made a sound. They have hit several milestones within hours of each other. They mimic each other often but I watched them doing the exact same thing at the same time even though they couldn't see each other just yesterday and it struck me as funny.

I'm never sure which things are just because they're together all of the time and which things are because they're twins.

I have a story that really intrigued me.

I was sitting downstairs on the computer and the girls were upstairs with my husband, in our bed. They had both woken up an hour or so before and the only way I could get them back to sleep (as usual) was in our room. We traded places after a while so I could come downstairs. Well, according to Ryan, they hadn't moved in a long time, when all of a sudden Katie shifted direction, and rolled 3 feet off the end of the bed before he could even react (he was sitting with the laptop in the dark). I heard her hit the ground and I didn't hear her cry immediately. I flew up the stairs and found Ryan holding her, with her crying - I guess I just didn't hear the cry part through the floor.

Anyway, that is the awful part of the story. The weird part is when I got up there, Lilly was crying, but had her eyes closed, as if she was still sleeping. I picked her up and she said "headie" (how they always say "head" these days.) Um, it was Katie who hit her head. And Lilly didn't see it happen - she was sleeping. So, maybe I am starting to believe in that twin ESP!

(They were both totally fine - Katie didn't even have a bruise and went right back to sleep - poor little muffin)

Mine aren't identical but they will put the same foot up under their tray while eating and can't see that the other one is doing it too.

They cut their teeth with in 24 hours of each other - every one of them.

They have dirty diapers at the same time during the day.

They were back to back in the womb and sit back to back a play all the time.

My guys do the opposite foods thing.
Eric eats the eggs and Ethan eats the sausage. Eric eats the chicken and Ethan eats the potato. Wierd.
They eat so differently~but have never been more than 1/2 lb different in weight???

    My guys are mirror twins~
    They have opposing:
    crowns, parts, and cow licks
ears(left ear shaped like the others right ear)
    opposing eye shapes
They even have a freckle-like birth mark in the same place on opposite toes.

It is really cool because it makes them a little bit distinct, even though they are identical.

Thier personalities are very different, I would not say night and day(alot of people think that twins are supposed to be 2 ends of the spectrum-mine are not).

mine aren't identical (B/G) but they cut their teeth the same weekend, poop at the same time, and when they were younger Abby cried before Ian when he rolled off the couch - also, they "talk" to each other just by looking at each other - Abby knows exactly how to crack her brother up when he's whiny

My girls cut teeth at the same time, have ear infection, always get sick at the same time, have always gone to the bathroom at the same time, rolled over at the same time in the same direction and the one thing they do that "freaks" people out is they will just start laughing or answer her sisters question when the other hasnt even said anything outloud.

My mom, and ID twin, is a mirror of her sister- they get hurt with the same time of injuries on opposite sides, have birthmarks on opposite sides that are similar, use opposite hands, and so on.

My girls cut teeth (opposite teeth) on the same day, all the time. I've never had the luxury of a single teething baby. :) They also do the crying thing, and when they were younger they always slept the same way. Their heads would always fall to the same side. They also have BMs at the same time, but I chalk that up to eating the same thing at the same time.

Okay, we've had pretty much the same things happen here... teeth and all...crying and such. Besides that, when they were first born, prolly around two weeks old or so....we hak them sleeping in the pack and play at night beside our bed. One night, (they had reflux pretty bad when they were younger), Brenden woke up screaming at the top of his lungs crying. I immediately sat up to see what was going on and found that Landon was choking and pretty much unable to breath. I picked him up and started to pat his back to help him out and told DH to get Brenden in a hurry b/c he was the one that was flipping out. When dh sat up (only seconds after Brenden had been screaming and woke me up), he said to me "Honey, Brenden is sleeping...he's out like a light...liek he was never crying..." But i know for a fact that it was him b/c their cries are different and landon wasnt able to or crying when i picked him up.... It was like Brenden had woke us up b/c Landon was choking. That happened a few times. Now they cry when the other cries all the time. Must be a twin thing :p
