We are looking to puchase new furniture for our twins. They are in separate rooms. Should I get them each a twin bed with a trundle or a double bed? This furniture will hopefully be used until they go to college. Any suggestions>

How big are their bedrooms? Do you have a seperate playroom? I think you should get the bigger ones if you have lots of room otherwise the twin. My DD had a queen for years and wanted to get a twin!! She likes it much better because she has so much room now for her other stuff (which is laying everywhere!!)

We do twin beds for our kids. It's a space issue. They like the room to play and the older they get the more of a mess they seem to make.

We have pretty good sized rooms so we got the full size beds and they still have plenty of room.

We opted for twin beds since we have small bedrooms. But I would definitely get a full sized bed if you have the space. I will never forget the image of DH as a teenager sleeping in his twin bed, at 6'3'' and 195 pounds!!! (FYI, his sister was my best friend, so I saw lots before we started dating! ;) )

We have a small bedrooms too. Before our twins arrived we already had a (2) twins bed that was set-up in one of the bedroom. The 2nd bedroom we have a queen bed. They currently still sleep in the same room in their own crib. We are going to make the transition as soon the weather get a bit warmer so we can paint our son's room. We will move the crib and one of the twins bed in there for my FIL when he is in town for a visit. Our plan is to get our daughter a trunkle bed (will take the twin bed back in her room when she is a bit older). We will buy a new full bed when our son become a teenager as I can image he'll be 6'3 tall like his Daddy. I hope I make sense, ha!

If you have the room for a full size bed go for it and enough room for play area on the floor.
