We found out we are having twins on June 23, at our 7 week appt. (we suckered them into a u/s). We are supposed to confirm the sexes at our 20wk appt, which is the morning of our wedding, but we have never been patient people, lol. My beautiful fiancee has basically given me full reign over names as long as they are within reason, and my mother has told me its going to be a b/g (mother knows best), but not going to do anything until its confirmed by docs. I have chosen three sets of names and would like feedback.
    b/b
    Andrew Joseph
    Austin Jacob

    g/g
    Sarah Mackenzie
    Samantha Marie

    b/g
    Samuel Matthew
    Sarah Mackenzie

Their 40wk due date is Feb. 9th, so I know we are getting ahead of the game, but I'm leaving for a 3 month deployment at the end of October, so only got a few months to get everything straight. I decided on same initials to link them without doing something like Samantha and Samuel, because they are two dif people, they don't need the same name.
    Feedback please?

Good job on picking names. I like all of them. The only advise I have to offer is about having the same sex twins having the same initials. We did that with our first set of twins and we had so many problems with insurance companies only thinking there was one baby.(they, as well as credit card companies(future problems), go with birth dates and initials)It took us months to convince them that there were 2, they paid and then months later they retracted payments and we got billed once again from the hospital. It was a nightmare. We definately learned our lesson and gave our twin girls different initials.
Good luck with your deployment and the rest of your pregnancy. Are you going to find out what you are having? Keep us posted.

We are supposed to find out for sure on Sept 21 at 8am (Its 19weeks and 6 days, and our wedding day! We are planning on announcing the sexes at the reception). We are soo hoping for b/g, my fiancee has a 14yo daughter and I am finalizing the adoption of my 33mo daughter....so hoping b/g instead of g/g or b/b...(just hoping not to be the only gut in a house with Elly, 4 girls, 3 girl cats, and 3 girl fish)(but as always, healthy babies is most important) My mum already told us its b/g, we are hoping she's right, lol. Thanks for the advise, I'm sure we can figure something out, I have an entire list of names to work with.

    Thank you!
I have had this list of names going since I was about 9 years old.... my biological mom thought it'd be cute to name me Becker Beckert, I was able to change it to Becker Beckett upon adoption so that I wasn't completely screwed over, but those were some "fun" years, lol. Luckily, Elena "approved" the list, so from the beginning, I already had it down to 21 names, lol

While I think all the names you have chosen are beautiful. I second that you should not give them the same intials. They will (almost certainly) have the same birth date. And too many data bases out there list people by date of birth and intials only. You will only set your kids up for future problems. If you want you can flip the intials, like Marie Samantha and Sarah McKenzie.
But I wouldn't do same intials even on b/g names. There are other ways to give them a twin connection, two names with the same meaning or from the same "class" of names like Sarah Grace and Samanatha Joy.

I personally wouldn't go for the same middle intitial but that's me, too much confusion thru life. Otherwise they are very nice. My cousins are named like this the boys have BD initials and the girl has DB initials

I changed my mind! I was thinking about it when my 4mo nephew was staying with us, I'm not sure I want to call my son Sam/Sammy... We found out shrimp (A) is a boy, and I decided I like Charlie (Charles) better! Don't know what B is, but we are hoping its a girl so it can be Sarah, still

It only took until 4:37am this morning, but I have finally come up with a middle name for Charlie, drawing an end to the pestering from my lovely wife. I had decided on Sarah Mackenzie from the very beginning, but when we confirmed our lil boy, all I had was Charles....that was over a month ago! I was talking to a friend this morning, cause I couldn't sleep, and we were talking about the most random stuff (me deploying, her cats, high school, the weather, chores, etc) when all of a sudden, out of nowhere, it hit me: Charles Jude!
Now, this gives him a few options for nicknames, no same initials, and he gets a name that is important to me, without being named after someone (in my life). I have carried my St. Jude medallion around my neck since I was 8yo.

I think they are quiet cute together. Very classic and great with Lucille.

Thanks! I'd love to name them something untraditional, but I gave my dad a lot of crap for letting my mother name me Becker, so I'm not even going to attempt that, lol!
Besides, everyone in our families (aside from me :( ) has a more traditional type name

Well I wanted to name the girls Lillian and Lucille but my mother threw a fit over Lucille. I'm a big I love Lucy fan. So we ended up with more modern names.

Well, I didn't get Lucille until she was 29mo, but its a great name! My great grandmother's name was also Lucille, so thats really cool
