I was wondering if the water is more likely to break with twins than with a singleton. How many moms had there water break with twins? and at what week? Was it a gush or trinkle?

They broke my water when I had my DD, but I'm wondering if it will break on its own the the boys.

    Thanks ladies!!!

My water broke at 33 wks 1d and it was a gush that was never ending! It didn't stop from 4-7:30 (which is when the other sac broke). I was on the toilet and it felt like a small pop then the liquid gushed out.

On the other hand, my best friend (w/ singleton) had a trickle. Evidently her son was blocking the hole (sorry can't think of the medical term) and it allowed the liquid to leak out slowly. Either way, you'll know as you won't be peeing, but there will be liquid coming out! :)

My Baby A's water broke at 39 weeks 1 day. I went to the bathroom stood up to pull up my pants and it was a huge gush. They had to break Baby B's at the hospital.

Baby A's water broke at 35 weeks, 4 days. I had just gotten out of bed to go to the bathroom, came back in and felt the weirdest pop sensation and it felt like I had to go to the bathroom again. Got to the bathroom and GUSH. It wasn't subtle. And I was all worried that if it happened, I would miss it. Nope, couldn't mistake that. It kept leaking the whole time to the hospital. Baby B's water had to be broke just as I was about to push for her.

    Good luck.

    Erica.

Mine was Niagra Falls! LOL In the shower, and had what felt like a twisting water balloon sensation, then all of a sudden I had this never ending waterfall.... Had to use one of the waterproof crib sheets under me on the way to the hospital!

Baby A's water broke at 33w 4d. I was already in the hospital under observation for my blood pressure. I was in bed when it happened (@ 3:30 AM) and I swear I flooded that entire floor! They had to break Baby B's water that afternoon when I was delivering.

I had my water broken with Dave at 41 weeks, Emma's water broke on it's own at 38 weeks and the boys' water broke on it's own* at 36 weeks. All 3 times it was a trickle for a minute or two then a huge couple of gushes, then a trickle again.

*James' broke first just before I started labor, Sean's broke right after James came out.

Aidan's water broke at 34 weeks 2 days. I was already in the hospital on bed rest, so I was (obviously) in bed when it happened. I felt a gush of warm liquid. Then another gush. It stopped for awhile and then only trickled with contractions or when I moved.

My waters broke on their own at 35 wks. Mine was just a trickle at first . I even went out and ran errands and took my dd to the orthodontist. When i got home is when it started really flowing. I soaked my poor husbands seat on the way to hospital.Lol.

Mine broke with the twins and not with our daughter. It broke when I was 37 weeks 4 days and they were born the next day. I was sitting in my recliner waiting for my husband to go drop off my daughter w/ MIL so we could go to the hospital because I thought I might be in labor but wasn't sure  Well, as soon as they went out the door I got up to get my stuff together and the second I stood up it broke... It was a lot, but not as much as when they broke it for DD I think because Ethan had his head in the way it didn't all leak out at once maybe... But, I will say i definately knew it was my water that broke... I had to change clothes!!! But I was sitting on a waterproof pad for fear that it might break and ruin my brand new recliner!

Mine broke with both pregnancies. It was a undeniable GUSH both times. It's funny b/c I don't know which twin broke her water; I'm just thankful that one of them decided to end my misery ;).
