twin moms- recliner or glider?

I really want some sort of rocker for the boys, but I'm wondering if a recliner might be better than the standard nursery glider. [IMG] Recliners are generally wider and have softer padded arms, but with the gliders, the ottoman rocks too. Cons would be the recliner could take up more space, but then again, the glider's ottoman can't be "tucked away" either. So those of you with your babies and an opinion on the matter- what do you think??? Thanks a bunch! [IMG]

No experience yet, but we have a standard glider rocker already, that I bought with my singleton...and there's no way I could fit myself, the EZ 2 Nurse pillow, and two babies into it -- it's way too narrow.

The recliner might be a little better, but even then, I think it would be hard to breastfeed or bottle-feed two in it....from everything I've read, a couch or loveseat works best, or even the floor.

So, to that end, we moved our old futon into the nursery...I'm figuring it will give me enough room to put a baby down on either side, get situated, and then pull them to me to nurse.

We're still keeping our glider rocker upstairs, though, in another room -- in case one baby is sleeping, and I have to rock the other one...

I used/use a glider and love it! I can't really compare because I never tried using the recliner.

I've had both a recliner and a glider.

I didn't like the glider, it was uncomfortable for me.

I LOVE the recliner! I can tandem (I am BF'ing) in it. Love it for rocking the boys. Very comfy.

Love my glider, but if your recliner also rocks than it would work great also. Any thing with rocking motion puts my twinkies to sleep [IMG]

Definitely a recliner. A glider would be a joke and a point of frustration for you!

I have neither at this point but while shopping for a glider a got a lot of valuable advice from moms. A recliner was recommended not only because it's wider then most gliders but afterward since it does not look like nursery furniture you can use it elsewhere. If you've got your heart set a on glider, consider getting an extra wide one. Also, I've been told that the ottomans are a waste of money since they are not that useful. Considering a nursing stool instead.

We had a glider and that worked well for us.

I have a recliner in the nursery and love it. I've tandem-fed in it once, but then had to figure out how to get up out of it with my two babies ... so after that I would nurse one at a time. I still rock them to sleep sometimes in it.

I have 2 gliders so that both DH and I could rock babies at the same time. We love them!

Neither for me, I found not enough room for comfort from a glider (and didn't like the look or price ) and bought a beautiful barn-red big-ole antique puffy armchair that I will be able to use as furniture in either my kids rooms or anywhere, and it's soooooooo comfy.

Thanks! Good info ladies! I think I'm leaning towards the recliner anyways, so my leanings look like they're backed up! [IMG]
