I've taken the girls to the park myself in the past, but I pulled the stroller up to the swings, put them in the swings, swung, put them back in the stroller and left. I never let them down because I was TERRIFIED of them running in different directions.

Well today I got over my fear. I'm friends with another twin mom (her girls are 2) and we decided to bring the 4 girls to the park this afternoon. I was going to ask someone to come and help, but all help fell through and we were on our own. We toyed with the idea of going to her house since she has lots of outdoor toys for the kids, but decided to be brave.

The girls all did GREAT! Thankfully friend brought a blanket and some sand toys and we camped out in a corner of the playground by the swings. The girls all intermittently swung, played in the sand, ate a snack, wandered but never really left our immediate area and had a very nice time! My friend and I actually got to have a conversation while watching the 4 of them play near each other (love this age!), and enjoy the beautiful weather. We'll definitely do it again :)

Good for you! It really is doable, especially in a less-crowded park with a nice sturdy fence all around it. ;)

There's a playground that meets that description in our town, and I've met several other twin moms there -- we all know what works!

We meet up with another twin mom of 3 yr old boys frequently from our Mom's Club. It is nice, because we both understand and we can provide adequate coverage. It's also nice to have someone else there and be able to run to the bathroom solo! Good for you, glad it worked out.
