So, we are expecting twin girls..And DH loves Cecilia-- simon and garfunkel song..he's a big fan. And delilah-granted we we are attempting to find different spellings. I also like Fiona anddd Tallulah (dont ask) but, since we are going with the song theme, the names are growing on me, Cecelia is at least, delilah was one of my picks from the get go...

So ladies, Opinions, like or dislike would be great.. Ideas on middle names- DH was speaking of a one syllable middle name, but I dont see us pulling that one off. Last name's Schaefer.

I think both names go great with your last name. They are both lovely. Is there any family names you would give for middle names?

    Thank you..
My mother's a twin--they dont have middle names.. Mother in law's middle name is Rae. Here's the verdict with the famiy- My family love Cecilia, hate Delyla. They're religious....
His family hate all the names.. Middle names's are a little harder. So honestly, no middle names I'd use to be fair on both sides..

Thank you very much.. Im thinking about Faith and Grace for middle names--I stole them from another post. But, Im going to keep tweaking away at it. Id like for the girls to have names, people ask me all the time and I tell them we dont have names, because we cant agree on them.. So we call them "A" and "B" or top Baby and bottom Baby.

    Thanks for your help ladies

I like all the names...they're unusual. Tallulah is my least fave, though. I like the idea of one syllable mid names. Makes the name roll off your tongue nicely.

    Ann
    Lane
    Leigh
    Lynn
    Rue
    Shay
    Liv
    Quinn

    Just some suggestions!

How about your Mom and her twin first names for middle names?

Thank you ladies, Cecilia and Delyah are a hit on here I see. Loving the middle names many of you have came up with.
My mom and her twin sisters names are Lois and Lola--- They were seriously double trouble growing up, not sure if I want to put that on the girls.

Im going to sneak the name game in with DH later tonight-- he claims that I've tortured him enough for the week with names. HA! hardly.. Thank you for all the suggestions, I really appreciate it

I LOVE Tallulah! I used to babysit a little girl named Tallulah and we called her "Talu" for short. She was adorable and so is the name!

Is Delyah pronounced the same as Delilah?

I like Cecelia and Tallulah. They are both songs and I love both of those songs (though neither are really songs I'd think-wow this inspires me to name my daughter this!). Tallulah is a Tori Amos song.

    Cecelia Grace and Tallulah Faith.

I LOVE all these names. I suggested all three to my hubby. Tallulah is also a character/song fromthe movie Bugsy Malone....remember Jodie Foster singing 'My name is Tallulah.....'
I like the Cecilia Rose and Delilah Daisy that another poster suggested.

Well, DH has backed out of Delilah, not sure if I posted this before. But my cat is named delylah---however, once DH returned from Iraq..Lyla suddenly grew nuts, I think at least. No, never had the cat fixed, however the cat has been to the vet quite often and noone ever said or disputed when the cat was marked female and had a female name.. sigh.. Im afraid to find out, and DH knows because he took her/him to the vet last and he wont tell me for fear of scarring me..
I cried, when they first joked about it, Ive had the cat groomed, its nails painted pink or purple, put pink bows on him/her, even for poops and giggles dressed the cat up in a dress... So, I was very upset when DH told me this 3-4 months after he got back from Iraq..It took that long for whatever back there to grow, they fought it out the first few months over territory..

So, the cat has a few personality issues, DH hates the cat some days and calls it turbo or some other profanity other days and gives it more loving and attention than me other moments. Its a serious love/hate relationship.
DH and my 14yro swore to me this morning, that maybe we shouldnt take the delyla route...

So, I have spilled the beans...And I have no more secrets about the name game ;)
NO other names to go along with Cecilia...Iyanna, Id like a classic cool name similar to Cecilia.. But I like simple names like Ava Grace, Eden Willow--not so simple. But I have friends named Ava and Eden--cant boost their ego.. Why IS IT SO HARD TO NAME GIRLS.. If one came out a boy Id have no issue naming him.
