Does anyone have any suggestions for a good twin carrier? I loved our Baby Bjorn carrier for my girls, but that won't work for two babies. ;) I did do a search for "Twin Carrier" here & didn't really come up with anything, so sorry if this has already been covered. :)

I've seen the MaxiMom carrier & The Weego carrier. They are both pretty expensive & I was hoping for some "reviews" before purchasing one or the other. Thanks!

Er....sorry on the "suggestions" topic spelling error. Um, can I claim placenta brain & not paying attention?!? lol

I got at Baby K'Tan. It's a sling carrier but it has an option to carry twins up to ten pounds, I think. The way I see it is I probably won't want to carry both babies at the same time past ten pounds anyway, that's 20 pounds of baby, haha! And you can also use it just to carry one and it goes up to 50 or 60 pounds.

I want to get a Sleepy Wrap. It looks like you can have them both in one for at least awhile.

Has anyone specifically used one of the twin carriers?

    Thanks!

Do you have to tie it yourself? I've seen the Moby wraps, etc that you can also carry twins in. I know a lot of people LOVE them, but the idea of tying them in myself kind of freaks me out. lol

    Awesome! Thanks so much!

I've thought about the slings, like the Moby wrap, I'm just hesitant on how to tie them in securely. lol

I hate two individual carriers and still rarely used them. In the beginning you are likely to have a c-section so carring is out of the question. Then they are too heavy (and I had low weight gain babies 3%) I just used the stroller. Plus I never wanted to be anywhere without both of them. so I'd say dont' spend the money, or wait and order it last minute if you think you will use it....

We bought the Moby D wrap and I am excited to use it. When I got it my dd was about 12 months old and she weighted almost 22 pounds and she fit in it very nicely and secure. I like the pretty material too and how easy it is to wash. The Moby D comes with a pamphlet for the different ways you can carry twins and I think they even showed a woman breastfeeding them although I could be mixing it up with another sling...

I've heard a lot of great things about the Moby wraps! I'll have to look into them a bit more. I was worried about how to wrap them both in securely, but maybe it's not that difficult?!? Thanks!!

I wore both my other kids so I've been looking into which wraps will work the best for twins. From what I can tell, it seems that for the first few months the moby wraps work really well. After that, I'm planning on moving to mei teis w/ one on front and one on the back. You can comfortable carry a lot of weight in a mei tei.

Also, I had two c-sections and had no problem wearing my kids from the time we came home. As long as the carrier is tied right then it shouldn't pull on your stomach. If you plan to nurse, LLL often is a good resource for babywearing. Otherwise, a lot of areas also have AP parenting groups and/or babywearing groups that are great for helping you learn how use the carriers. If neither of those work for you, then there is an online group, I believe called the babywearer, and I think they have videos.
