just thought i would get everyone's opinion....

what started off as a joke from my father-in-law seems to be sticking with my husband! my husband is VERY much into hunting, wildlife, etc. He has been all over the US and Canada hunting and even directed a wildlife camp for youth for years; meaning it is his life....we are having 2 boys which will be perfect for him! i think we have decided on using the grandmother's maiden names as the boys 1st names...Brantley and Clark! so on to my father-in-law's suggestion...

    Brantley Remington
    Clark Browning

for those of you who do not know Remington and Browning are gun names which brings a part of my husband's passion into his son's names!

    thoughts?

I think those are very nice names. I wouldn't have known the gun reference (well I knew Remington) and would have thought those were family surnames. Quite distinguished names actually!

Those are neat. You are lucky that you have last names that can be used as first names, this is a great thing. They are cute with the middle names and I'm sure your husband will be happy with them.

I LOVE the idea of using maiden names!!! I used my maiden name as mn for ds(Ethan CRAIG)!!! I love the name Remy too, maybe use that as a nn!!! CUTE!
Anyway,my BIL name is Brentley, they call him Brent, and would totally use that as a mn if I ever had another boy!

The way those names fell in your lap, so to speak, it must be fate. I love them. It sounds like a part of your lifestyle that's very close to your husband's heart. Does he like them? I knew immediately that the middle names were gun brands. I say it's way too perfect. cute, but not too cutsie. Good luck with your decision.

I like those names… They seem too good of a fit NOT to use them... your lucky as my son joked we should give our twins the middle names danger and trouble… and we all laughed but I now hear my husband (I hope joking) tell people that’s what there middle names will be, so when they are in college they can use it as pick up lines…. “Hi, my middle name is Danger…”

Side note, my son isn’t a hunter but is fascinated by weapons (ok what 9 year old boy isn’t) so when we got him a English Lab last year he named him Winchester… he said it sounded tough and English… of course he pretends to have an English accent when he tells people his name
