Twin Boy Names

Hi I'm expecting fraternal twin boys. Our top name is Ryan, and our 2nd favorite name is Ryken... But are those too similar??

Other choices we like to go with Ryan are: Nathan (Nate), Jesse & Justin

What are your thoughts on Ryan & Ryken.... Would love to hear if you think they are too similar of names...

 

Honestly, I think they are too similiar and I personally wouldn't do them. I really like all your other names though, so I think any of them would be really good!

 

I also think they are too similar.. I think Ryan and Nathan sounds good.

 

I agree with Erica. Too similar, but I *love* the name Nathan!

 

I like Ryan and Nathan. I always think about nicknames, and if you go with Ryan and Ryken they might both get "Ry" from friends.

Same here. I especially like Nathan.

 

I do like both names and they are very similar. Good luck with deciding. I love Ryan, my older DD has it as a middle name. and my cousin just named her son Ryker, very similar to your Ryken. So I do love all those names.

 

I don't like them together for two reasons.
1 is their similarity
2 is their difference. Ryan is sort of a classic, ordinary name. Ryken is not. So they don't really flow together to me.

Ryan and Nathan have a similar feel.

Or Ryken with a name like Aiden.

 

Thank you all.. My gut was telling me Ryan & Ryken were too similar... Now i have to convince my husband of this!

 

I really like those names and I really like them together too!

I do not like Nathan cuz it's just tooooo popular right now.

 

I think they sound way too similar. Although I think it would be cute if you changed Ryken to Ryker. Still sounds similar but with the different ending gives them a little more difference between them.

 

I feel they are too similar and you're probably going to end up with lots of confusion. If you're very attached to the names, maybe you can use one as a first name and the other as a second name?
