Hi! I haven't been active on this forum in a longtime, but I have a dilemma! I have almost 23 month old twins. We converted their cribs to toddler beds about a month ago. The transition is going pretty well, the only issue we have now is that they love to sleep together, but don't both fit into the cribs/toddler beds. They are in a pretty small room, and if I get two twin beds, it will be pretty crowded. My mom has a spare full size bed that she offered to us. We will be moving in a year to a bigger house, so they would just use the full size until next summer. The other option we have is to switch their room with their older brother's room that will accommodate 2 twin beds. I'm hesitant to do this because a.) we would need to paint the nursery, and that seems like a waste for only 1 year, and b.) his room is his space, he's got all of his toys in there, and the twins are not allowed in. If he moves to the smaller room, he would be really cramped. He spends a lot of time in his room playing, the twins do not.

    Any advice? WWYD?

I don't see why not if it's just for a year!

I'd just do the full sized bed. Like Fran said, it's only a year.

I would do it too. I contemplated getting mine a bed to share when we moved them out of the toddler beds. The reason I didn't is because we were going to have to buy another bunk bed in a few years anyways, when we split our 4 kids into 2 boys/2 girls. (My twins are b/g). So we bought bunk beds and separated them. Yes their room is super squishy now but it'll work for awhile, we just have all their toys in our living room.

But yes, in your case, especially for just a year, I'd just get the full bed!

When we ran into that problem, we just took our spare full & put it on the floor of their room. They love sleeping together & pretty much cuddle up every night. It seems silly to have two beds if they're going to sleep together every night anyway.

Mine sometimes sleep together on a full-sized mattress, and they love it. Also - most adorable thing EVER.

I see no problem sharing the full sized bed. My sister and I shared a full size bed growing up and we were about 18 months apart. I don't think it's a big deal at all.

I'd go for the full sized bed.
