I wouldn't be able to even attempt to make a tutu! Congrats to you for trying! I actually just ordered both the girls a tutu for their birthday party. If you go to etsy.com there are tons of women who make and sell them at very reasonable prices. I ordered mine from kirras boutique on etsy. There are a lot of different people who sell them there though. Sorry no help for making one but I'm one of those people who figures that with the cost of materials and the time and trouble to do it, i'd rather just pay 15 or 20 bucks and have someone else do the dirty work lol!

I made some for my girls for their birthday (they are wearing them in my signature pic). I am NOT crafty so if I can do it anyone can :).

I searched "no sew tutu" on Google and found a few videos. I used 4 different colours and about 3/4 of a yard of each colour per tutu for a total of about 3 yards a tutu. I used an elastic head band for the waist band and while the tutus are still a little big I know they will get a lot of wear out of them. GL!!!!

  4. Go to Michael's or Hobby Lobby...get the tulle by the roll (it will save you SOOOOO much time over just buying yards of it)...it comes in many colors and is already only 6 inches wide or so... Decide how long you want the tutu to be...double that length... If you want it 10 inches...cut 20 inch strips... Get satin ribbon...you will loop the pieces over the tulle and pull through... (fold each piece in half...lay over the ribbon...pull the pieces up and through the folded piece and pull tight) Continue to do this OVER AND OVER haha until it is big enough for your little one.

I've made TONS of tutus. They are SUPER easy...just pre cut all of your strips...then loop them while you watch tv... Leave the ribbon long enough to tie a cute bow... Also with the ribbon rather than elastic you can make it bigger as they grow...

    Good luck and post pictures!!

I have made several "no sew" tutus for my DD and niece. They are VERY easy and fun to make. However, you might want to check out: Halo Heaven. They sell really INEXPENSIVE tutus. They come in all different sizes, colors, styles, etc. I've bought several from them. They also have some cute petticoats and other items. :)
