I went to the doctor today for my 26 week check up and instead of being transverse, both of the babies are now next to eachother and head down. At what point did you guys have that happen and did they stay that way or is there still room for them to flip at this point?
All I know it that there is a marked increase in the discomfort factor with this new position that I didn't have last week with the old one. LOL
My doctor said that they were in favorable position (DUH) but I am hoping that this is the time when they will stay that way as twins. If it were a singleton, I know there would still be time/room to move though.

There's always room for the babies to move around...as painful as it may be!! My babyA has been vertex for months, looking toward my back. For the first time, she had rotated around (still vertex), but facing my stomach. No wonder my belly has taken on more alien shapes in the last week or so! BabyB floats around to her heart content. Sometimes vertex, sometimes breech, but usually transverse. She's been all over the place!! They're slowly running out of room, but it hasn't stopped BabyB from exploring the womb! You just never know...

My babies are almost always in a different position at every ultrasound and I'm being monitored weekly. Baby B has stayed head down for the last 3 weeks which is the longest she's ever stayed in one position but Baby A has been different nearly every time.

At my 24 week u/s they were both head down.. at 26 they were both head up.. 1 flipped during the u/s to head down.. at my 27 weeks u/s baby A was head down.. and Baby B was head up. I am hoping at my u/s this week that both are head down.. but mine are pretty small and I think that they still have more then enough room to turn what ever way they want.

At my 28 week appt. I had an U/S and they where both head down and next to each other. Well by the time they got done with Baby A (Tommy) measurements Baby B (Molly) had turn head up. So I think there is still room for them to flip. But I sure hope they stay that way for you.

They can both still flip at that point. Sorry to say. I was up visiting the NICU last week and was shocked to see how small 28 weekers still are. . . looking at my belly, I imagined the babies to have little room to move. I was wrong!

Baby A turned from head-down to breech between my 28 and 30 week appointment.... just a little BTDT experience for you. Even if I planned on a vaginal birth, I wouldn't have planned on mine staying put as they were both head-downish at one point. Baby B has always been transverse, but their heads were very close to being head-down (at 24-25weeks) .... now, both are completely opposite - but their heads near each other at the top!
