Turning From Breech

I am 33 weeks and on bedrest to minimize contractions. Baby A is vertex and Baby B is breech. My doc is willing to deliver vaginally with Baby B breech, just not this early. He says if I went into labor at this point, we would let nature take its course and it would be a c-section. I have heard that babies don't turn after 30 weeks and I have heard that as the head gets bigger and heavier they can turn as they approach full term. So we are hoping for either a turn or to make it another 3 weeks or both, but I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with twins turning late in their pregnancy?

Luke (my baby b) turned late in pregnancy but the other way. He had been head down right up until my last ultrasound about 2 weeks before I delivered, but when it came time for delivery he was breech. He was delivered by breech extraction & everything went well. So, they definitely can turn at the last minute. Good luck to you!

Mine were both vertex for most of my pregnancy, then B turned breech at 32 weeks. He turned back to vertex about two weeks later. I would not have guessed that was possible, but the ultrasound doesn't lie ... at least on positions!

My baby a was head down but baby b was breech. We were going to try to turn baby b or do a breech extraction (per my OB's advice) but we didn't even get a chance to talk about all of this. My baby a was in a hurry lol. So after he came out they tried to turn my baby b but couldn't tell if what they were feeling was a hand or a foot so off for a c-sec I went. I don't say this to scare you but what I wanted and didn't get time for was a conversation on how labor was going (during labor)and if we should do a c-sec for both babies so I didn't end up with 2 different births. Maybe have that discussionn or decision made so if it goes fast you don't end up with 2 births too. Recovery wasn't as bad as I thought but still only doing it one way would be a little easier on your body. Good luck!

My baby A turned from breech to vertex at 35 weeks. At 38 weeks, baby B moved from vertex to breech. I was still able to deliver vaginally with B breech. So, really it can happen up until the last minute even with 2 in there. She turned breech sometime between the Monday and Tuesday morning when I was induced.

My baby b has been flipping from head down to breech at EVERY appt that I have. I have an u/s every other week and he moves each time. My last ultrasound was at 35 weeks and he was turned breech again. I go on Friday again (I will be 37 weeks) and we will see where he is at. My OB said that eventhough there is very little room for babies to move around, they will do it if they can!

The initial (stage 1 labour) contractions help babies turn...and donèt forget that once A is out of the way, B will have lots of space to flip!

I am heading into week 33 and my twins are still turning and changing positions. Every week I'm having two u/s for biophysical profiles and each time they are in new positions. So I would say anything is possible. Good luck!

A was head down and engaged. B turned vertex at 34 weeks! But even before that point my OB was willing to deliver vaginally with A head down - she said either B would flip on her own or she'd pull her out by the ankles. Have hope!

Both of my babies were vertex so I thought I was in the clear. Baby B turned breech somewhere between 34 and 35 weeks. It is definetly possible. I too thought that at a certain point he would run out of room. I had Baby A vertex and Baby B with a breech extraction. No complications and they were only 1 minute apart. I would for sure talk to you Dr. about a breech extractio if necessary. Try not to worry too much and Good Luck.
