Turning 3 in a few weeks!

So I have been missing for a while from Twinstuff and I think I'm crazy because I let myself be so busy that I really should have come back here for help when I didn't have answers. Wow, from the point my kiddos turned 2, life has certainly changed. I was one that posted questions/concerns about them not eating enough, my fear of the whole potty training thing, their speech development, and the list goes on. Worry, worry, worry.

I am happy to report to all the mommies and daddies out there that looking back from 2 to 3, it has been a true adventure and although it has been hard at times, we have had the time of our lives with these 2 crazy kids. I want to let you know that you do survive the 2's and that even when you think you are going to give up, there is something great that happens at every stage to make it all worthwhile.

My DS has advanced with his speech beyond my comprehension. They started preschool in September and since that time, they speak like regular people and have ideas and their own concepts. My DD decided she wanted to use the potty and after one failed attempt, she tried again and has not looked back. I also thought that my DS would be 4 before he ever showed interest, so I waited, then about 2 months ago he decided he wanted to use the potty and by now he does #1 and #2 in the big potty like everyone else. They also don't wear diapers anymore. I cannot express the pride that I feel for these amazing milestones and how important it really is, like everyone in the forum told me, to wait until they were ready and to not let it drive me crazy. To those that gave me so much encouragement and great advice- I THANK YOU! You are awesome. I am ready for the 3's, with your help of course.

 

This age is a true adventure, but is truly great! Sounds like you all have had some fabulous milestones. Congrats!
